I see this is up for preorder at BBTS, but the price is $74.99.  I wonder if this is exclusive (which I guess is likely since it doesn't fit into the $20 pricepoint assortment).  Otherwise, that's pretty pricey for a regular release.

$75??? What the heck kinda price is that? I hope that's right though because then I WON'T be tempted to buy it any more.

I don't know if they just went down to this price or if I just happened across one that was found later in the pricing process, but I picked up the CW LEGO Republic Fighter Tank for 75% off clearance, $12.48 at Target yesterday. So keep your eyes open and don't ignore stuff in the clearance section just because its CW and you don't think it should be on clearance already like I almost did.

Exact opposite for me. The box with the Death Star skeleton and the fact that it is a Clone ship when they are helping hunt the Jedi instead of when they are with the Jedi makes me want it. I need someone to talk me out of it because I can't afford it.

I didn't need to see that. I have enough ARC 170s, but I am a huge sucker for Republic vehicles turned sterile matte colors by the Empire. I don't know how I'm not going to need one of these.

General theory about modern toys:  nothing is rare.

Waiting will benefit you 99 times out of 100.  You'll still spend less when that one item goes through the roof.  If it made it to target, it'll be half its retail price on ebay within 2 years. ;)

Those are all good points except you are not taking into consideration the "my impatience" aspect of things.  :-\

I wish I knew how limited the "only at Target" MMs were going to be. I can't decide if I should buy all five of the new ones or not and I'd like to know how much time I have to make that decision.

I was looking at the Solar Sailor set at TRU yesterday and I have to say it was very disappointing. Not sure how they could have improved it, but.....

I bought the Teebo, Bossk, and Snowtrooper this morning. All with "only at Target" stickers.

I left the Biggs and Shocktrooper also with "only at Target" stickers.

And they had Rex, C3PO, and Cody with "only at Target" stickers even though they have been released before. I compared the "new" Rex with the old one and it looked like it had very small paint variations.

Thanks Jayson.

That figures that the case that is hitting around here has to be the one without the fig I really want. Oh well.

I was in two Targets this morning, one right as it opened, the other within 20 minutes of it opening and they had clearly both received the "new" Legends this morning as they had none yesterday. No sign of the Snowtrooper though. Has anyone heard anything about anyone actually finding the Snowtrooper? Could it not be in the newest case even though its pictured and numbered in the middle of all the stuff that is in stores now.

I'm sure what you are saying is right. But I also don't think Grandma is going to just do a drive by shopping, not see Drath Vaber and make a run for the door. She is going to have to look through the figs for a longer period of time anyway.

And by the way does anyone know where you can pick up a Drath Vaber figure? I still don't have one and he probably is my favorite character. I bet he's been in stores on the pegs but after thumbing through so many figs for so long I just gave up. I bet I'll be able to find him easier in the new packaging. j/k  ;)

So something else about the package has got to make them want to look at them.

Maybe the big honkin red Star Wars logo will do the trick, no?

Good call (and it made me laugh). The more I look at the new package, the more I like it. I like the attention on the picture being given to the specific character and not something generic. I'm not discussing this as far a overall sales here, but just what I am going to enjoy having in my collection.

So, I stumbled on these things in the isle at Target last night.  Hadn't heard of them before.  The figures are attached to those bases and appear not to have any articulation.  The bases are some type of play-doh stamp.  Each has, I think, a personalized emblem - like for pressing a wax seal.

Also, my target had reset its toy aisles, but a couple sections, including Star Wars, were starkly barren.  I might need to stalk it, as these first GH waves of the year always seem to pull a vanishing act.  Random note: some type of gaming cartoon called Bakugan (from Nelvana) had a humongous shelf allotment, fwiw.

Were those the only 2 style of the Playdoh/GH sets that you saw? How much were they?
