I got the cancellation email, too.  At first it was just for one of them, which left me hopeful that maybe they would fulfill the other.  Wrong.  Four minutes later I got another email from Walmart cancelling the second order.

Weird.  I got two email cancellations that 1 of my 2 figures from separate preorders was cancelled.  Maybe they're limiting preorders to 1 to satisfy more customers?

So, I had two preorders (one Friday for 2x $24.99 and then another on Monday with the 2x $17.68), so why cancel half of each order (I guess better than cancelling a person's order for 1x)?  I'll likely be paying 2 separate shipping costs when I ordered 2 to avoid that.  And they still haven't adjusted the price on the first preorder.

Who wants to chip in to charter an exploratory submarine to look for them amongst those lost containers on the bottom of the Pacific?

Conjecture: when Hasbro realized the shipment was lost and they would have to rerun the figures at the factory, they decided to toss in the "enamel pin" addition to cover-up the fact that things went awry. We will see these for sale on WalMart.com again in August.

I had two on preorder as well, and got the cancellation notice too. Honestly I’d be fine with just one, sometimes I order two just to increase the chances of actually getting something that isn’t destroyed from WM.com. This sort of thing is becoming all too common these days (and not just with Star Wars), what is the point of having preorders for things if they are always going to be cancelled? Largest retailer in the world and they can’t figure out how to get this right.

I ordered two for similar reasons - condition was one, and the other was the shipping.  Ordering two got me to the free shipping threshold.  But that's irrelevant now.

In some parts of the world yes, but not in the USA yet.

What day did you order? I ordered two on Oct 26th as soon as they became available. They cancelled both of mine. Seems to be no rhyme or reason.

I ordered 2 on 10/26. One was cancelled and I'm semi-expecting the other will also considering others had both go bye-bye.

Really strange.

I woke up at 4:40 am ET and miraculously this is back in stock.  So I re-ordered, and it gave me an estimated delivery date of Thursday.  I'll believe  it when I have tracking information.

Thanks for pointing that out Nick. I was able to reorder just now as well, mine say they will ship tomorrow. Taking it with a huge grain of salt, but they know I'll dance to whatever tune they are playing.
