I am already seeing these things show up at Marshall's/TJ Maxx...at least the 6" ones. Not a good sign.

So who will be meeting the Heat in the Finals now?  ;)

Sucks when all playoff suspense is eliminated on the first day of the playoffs after 2 games and one freak injury.

So the draft is done...another crop of interesting late-round picks for the Skins.

I love the people freaking out about them taking Cousins with a 4th...like this creates some kind of QB controversy. Dude was drafted solely to replace John Beck, whom they IMMEDIATELY released after making the pick.

God forbid RGIII gets hit by a car crossing the street next week and the franchise is ham-strung for the next 3 years with no first round picks.

BPA...it's not rocket science.

Picked up the Euro-only 3-pack Set # 1 of 3 (Lt. Thire, Yoda, Destroyer Droid) off eBay - the elusive English language version.

Now I just need # 2 of 3 for a complete set.

Heading out shortly for a 3 Walmart run with no expectations...

I thought the Giants picked David Wilson?  ;)

I've read a lot of articles since last night, and nearly all of them say that everyone and their mother knew that the Giants wanted Martin, and the Bucs traded back up specifically to get in front of them and ruin their night.

They reached for Wilson.

I tend to give the Giants the benefit of the doubt on draft strategy, they do it better than any other team IMO.

I'm admittedly biased, because I watched nearly every Tech game but not so many Boise State, so I'm only speaking from what I have observed personally. But David Wilson is GOOD. Not saying the other guys isn't, or won't be better ultimately, but I don't think it was as much of a reach as some might.

Cleveland and Miami just reek of QB desperation...I think they made those picks to appease their fanbase than because they really deserved to be drafted that high.

LOL, what's the point?

If we vote, they won't make them.

If they made them, there would be no articulation.

Even if they made them, AND articulated them, you couldn't find them in stores.

Sorry, filled with remorse and disgust at the same time...

Another month about to expire, another deadline missed on the Mando Shuttle. I guess EE is now going to say "Coming in May!" like anyone will believe that.

What angers me is that Hasbro actually TOLD people to go out and buy it from EE directly, giving the impression that they had worked out some kind of deal where these would find imminent release.

Apparently not.

I don't get it. Did they only make like 1000 of these? Why is it so hard to produce more and get them into circulation?

After getting burned on those DVD sets, damned if I'm going to overpay for this thing only to have it go the clearance route six months from now.

The Bucs walked away with the top safety and the second best RB.  I couldn't be happier.

I thought the Giants picked David Wilson?  ;)

What a weird draft last night was. I did not watch last year's at all, but the coverage was a lot more disappointing that I recall from years past.

First off, where were the war-room cams? Where were the interviews with GM's, coaches, etc reacting to their picks/trades/etc? We got NONE of that. Even the player interviews seemed rushed.

Second, there seemed like a LOT of intentional delays...I was constantly seeing "Pick Is In" and then it would be like another 5 minutes before the Commish sauntered up to the podium. I understand things are happening quickly, and it is a TV event for fans, so they want to milk each selection for all it's worth, sell advertising, etc but after awhile it just seems contrived. Teams were putting in picks FAST, they probably could have wrapped it all up in two hours without all the fluff.

I did find all the trades interesting, teams giving up multiple picks to only move up a couple of spots. Seems like a lot of teams fell in love with a certain guy and just got locked in.

I don't think anyone had a "bad" draft (and honestly who even knows for a few years) but if I was a Rams fan I would be coming away kind of disappointed. They didn't get Blackmon, Richardson, or any kind of OL help for Bradford. Stockpiling picks is nice but that team needs talent, not just role-players.

I also liked Gruden playing devil's advocate and showing some clips from guys he had concerns about, that was a refreshing realty check for all the unbridled optimism.

Anyways, RGIII is in the house, so all is right with the world.  ;D

Wasn't he in charge of the GI JOE line prior to taking over Star Wars?

I gather there has been a lot of similar frustration with that line the past few years.

I wonder if he will accept a LinkedIn invite from me? I have a lot of thoughts to share...

LA = Minnesota? Stadium joke, I assume? Well-played.

Yeah, that seems crazy desperate to me. The only way that would possibly make sense is if they were sure someone else was going to move up to get Richardson. Which how could they possibly know, right? Vikings make out like bandits and get the player they wanted anyway.

Crazy stuff...I see a lot more trades going down before it's all through.

Gonna be a long wait for me between RGIII and the Skins next pick in the third round...eesh.

I've heard some rumors coming into work today on the radio that a swap between the Vikings and Tampa is brewing...#3 overall for #5 overall and a 2nd or 3rd...Bucs get Richardson and Vikes still get Kalil

That seems like a bit of a reach, depending on the compensation. Great deal for Minnesota though, if they can swing it.

I still think the Vikes take Kalil and the Browns take Richardson and the Bucs take Claiborne. Rams probably go Blackmon...and then it gets interesting. I will not blame any Miami fan for taking to the streets in anger if they do not pick Tannehill.

I think it's the second and third rounds this year that will be really interesting. This is a deep draft for some positions, could be some good guys left later.

I'd save the money and go to Europe.

Seriously, those photos from the pegs in Spain on JTA's front page are enough to make you vomit with rage. That is what every Walmart, Target, and TRU should look like over here.

And Spain's economy make ours look freaking robust. Where's the logic?

Ah yes, I can't believe it's finally here...RGIII Day!  ;D

The light at the end of the tunnel finally emerges...hope springs anew.

Good luck to everyone's teams drafting tonight.

Well, since I can't find any new Clone Wars toys anymore, I have to find new ways to spend money and enhance my collection. I finally found an English language version of one of the Euro-only Clone Wars 3-packs, Set 3 of 3 with Rex, Anakin, and Cad Bane.

Had to order it from the UK, and it arrived today in a box - no bubblewrap, no peanuts, no balled up newspapers, just a box in a box. From England! Luckily the thing was still in good shape, but yikes.

I am also about to pull the trigger on Set 1 of 3, with Yoda, Thire and the Destroyer Droid. Just waiting on some Paypal $$$ to come through. I have literally never seen the second set with Cody, Obi-Wan or Grievous come up on eBay. Which is weird because I know these were pretty prevalent in Canada as well.

The tricky thing though is finding the English language versions. Most of the ones that come up on eBay are the multilingual versions which look much more cluttered and visually unappealing, IMO. It's been tough to track down the ones that are only in English.

These are all straight repacks of previous figures of course, but kind of a cool niche addition to my collection.
