I've been watching the new series "Archer" on the fX network, and it's been surprisingly good. It's by a group that did some [adult swim] programs - Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021. The humor is dark and irreverent. Lots of adult humor. And each episode except the first has had me laughing. It sticks to a continuity unlike Sealab, and it's more couched in reality than Dingo. Anyway, I highly recommend it.

Excellent. That show is one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in a long time and it would be a shame to see it get canned.

Yeah, it was awesome...except for the glaring lack of Carol/Cheryl. And what about the crazy doctor? The supporting characters on this show are unbelievable.
I hope they play up that Cyril-is-crazy thing all season because that was some funny stuff.

Damn, I missed it completely. I have a hard time remembering to watch that show live. Wish there wasn't such a delay in putting them On-Demand.
Has anyone bought the DVD of Season 1? Was the unaired pilot funny?

Netflix has the DVD on streaming, but I didn't see any unaired pilot. There's an episode called "Mole Hunt (pilot)" that actually did air. Maybe they kept the other pilot off Netflix, though.

Another strong effort last night, can't believe next week is the Season Finale already. Then again, I like the short seasons. There's nothing worse than a show treading water just to fill out the schedule. (Office, Family Guy, etc)

FX has a good business model for their shows, modest ratings + short seasons = frequent renewals.
How many years has Always Sunny been running? Sometimes I literally feel like I am the only person still watching that show.
Archer has been solid this year, still want to see them ice Cyborg Barry though.

I've never caught this show but see commercials for it every now and then so might give it a try. Is the Archer guy voiced by the Bob's Burger guy on Fox? Sure sounds like him.

I've been watching Unsupervised on FX since it started - kinda like a Beavis n Butthead ripoff, just not as mindless...kinda. Guess it couldn't hurt to add one more show to the dvr

I just picked up seasons 1 and 2 at Target in the last month- this show is hilarious. Makes me wish I still had cable so I could watch season 3, but I'll wait for the Blu-Ray.

Archer has been killing it this season. I think this week's was probably my favorite so far but the Burt Reynolds episode was incredible also.

The finale was brilliant. So many awesome geek references. Lana in pasties. What the hell else could you possibly want?

I was so happy when I saw Archer was getting picked up for 2 more seasons. But, I don't know why it wouldn't, it's still firing on all cylinders. I really like how they switched this season up.
