I love Doonesbury, too.  You don't have to agree with something politically to appreciate its artistic merit or humor.  Plus I love all the black in-jokes in the Boondocks.  And Aaron Mcgruder is a huge Star Wars buff.   ;D

I wish there was a bigger scan of the drawing besides that thumbnail, I'd like to see it w/o the card in front of it. Just because.

If you click on the "Cable Gallery" link at the bottom of the story, you can see a full scan.  I just like to force people to read my intros on CC.com, to give the art context.  Plus I spend all that time writing that crap... gotta make sure somebody reads it.   :P

My paper still carries Marmaduke.  That strip is about a thousand times more lame than Garfield.  The real tragedy is they replaced Marmaduke with Non Sequitur for a few weeks, only to switch back (not sure if that was due to complaints or due to new management being hired at that time).  Non Sequitur is my favorite daily comic.  So I just check it on-line.

I also read the Boondocks on-line... http://www.ucomics.com/boondocks/

bill, neat concept with the cut out POTF card on the picture frame. but whats all that stuff on the figure bubble?

It's bubble wrap!  The "real" gift was a gem mint Vintage Imperial Dignitary.  I didn't want it floating around loose in the bubble where there was the potential for nose rub damage (extremely common on that figure).  So I wrapped him up so he'd be stationary in the bubble.

well that's good, because you certainly are showing it all over the place.

I'm not feelin' the love over at Wuher's anymore, so I figured I'd share it here, too.  Plus, I'm the king of shamelss self-promotion.

awww look Durge's trying to be funny, isn't that cute.

well since LJ brought up a WWE diva in her set of female hotties, may I present my fave top 5 WWE divas (current WWE divas only though)

Not into the fake and manly-looking wrestler chicks, but  Stacy Keibler & Maria look pretty good!

TEASER TRAILER

It looks delightfully twisted.  That and the poster actually have me somewhat excited about the movie.  I just hope Charlie isn't such a goofball in this one.

So now that the film's out, anyone care to post a review?  And... I don't know... maybe some details of what we do see of Portman?   ;)

Oh, I'm sure there will be all sorts of people who will want to run into me at C3. I still gotta figure out how to afford that bodyguard...

If there's an official JD gathering, I'll do my best to be there.  I just hope it doesn't conflict with the time I'll be manning the PSWCS Fan Group booth (hoping that our application is approved).

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone.  I don't know how much wisdom passing 30 has brought, but it has certainly brought a measure of restraint.  Back in college I drew one of the most controversial daily comic strips in our daily newspaper.  Letters to the Editor.  Death threats over the phone.  Nasty E-mails.  Lesbians calling up saying they didn't want to have sex with me.  Even when http://CreatureCantina.com, which sucks, first started out, I was quite a bit edgier in what I'd allow to go in.  Now I've mellowed a bit, I think.  Maybe that's a product of getting older.  Or maybe I'm just tired of catching all the flack.  Who knows?

If anybody wants to do anything for my birthday, you could donate a Star Wars figure to the PSWCS/Garrison Carida Toy Drive.  There's still about 2 weeks left, and Carida could use more donations.   ;D

I won't be making it to the Toy Show next Saturday.  But I'll certainly see all you West PA guys at C3 if I don't have the chance before then.
