I feel your "pain" as I'm going to have to put SW collecting on hiatus for at least the next six months to 2 years due to life events.  I've been a 3 3/4" completionist on all carded figs and boxed vehicles/playsets since POTF2 through ROTS of which I started collecting when Ep1 came out.

On average I've had about 2-3 small/large (if not more) purchases per week since 99 be it online or from retail so it's going to be hard for me to not have anything new to look forward to SW-wise each week.  I'll still be able to pick up a few basic figs now and then, but I'll unfortunatley have to look forward to picking up where I left off on Ebay.

Thanks for all the input you guys!!  I really really appreciate all of the great advice.  Reading up on this thread was almost an assignment in itself - you know who you are ;)

Day two and only one snag with my Comp1 class, but I won't bore you with how well/bad college life is going for me.  Maybe I'll chime back in a few months though just to let you guys know what worked best for me - if anybody really cares.

Thanks again everybody!!

Watto's Junk Yard / Study Habits
« on: August 20, 2005, 01:10 PM »
I was wondering if I could perhaps get some advice from the JD community on study habits as the majority of you guys seem to be well educated.  I graduated high school back in 96 and I swore to myself that I would only take a year off before attending college.  Well, that never happend and one thing led to another so I just kept putting it off until now - Monday actually.

College seems like the perfect thing in my life right know as I'm getting laid off from my job after 5 years unfortunately due to consolidation so the state is going to pay for the first few semesters of school for me.  I don't come from a wealthy family so this was good news for me.

I hate reading, always have, always will...Now I have 10 books (which weigh about 20lbs) to read for the Fall semester.  I've not read a single book since high school, so obviously this will be a challenge for me.  I won't be working for the first semester, so I won't have that extra burden to worry about.

Any tips on the best way to study?  Self or group enviroment, online, in a library, on a train, in a plane???  I used to just blast my stereo at home which seemed to work perfectly for me back in the day, but I don't think that's such a good choice.

I'm a lurker on this site with the exception of the MN finds thread btw.  I read a lot of your guys thoughts on comments, but I don't contribute much, obviously.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Coca-Cola or Pepsi?
« on: August 12, 2005, 10:36 AM »
Hands down any flavor of Coke beats Pepsi.

I also really dig Coke Zero, really, really dig it

I just tried one for the first time yesterday and it suprisingly does really taste like Coke.  Plus there's hardly any weird diety after taste.  Tastes much better than the Diet Coke I've been drinking for the past few years.  Has anyone tried the Coke with the Splenda sweetner?

Looks kinda funky, but it's nice to see them linked up as they should have been.

This is just wrong in so many ways.   >:(  I'll have to keep my eyes away from this thread.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: ROTS DVD Nov 1st

"A two-level playable demo of Star Wars Battlefront II is also included on the DVD."  - That's a nifty lil bonus that I wasn't expecting!

It will be nice to know which deleted scenes will be on the discs when they finally get around to announcing more details.

Feedback / JediMoses' feedback
« on: July 21, 2005, 12:27 AM »
Guess I better start this.

JediMoses hooked me up with an extra C3 Vader+starcase for a 500th Vader straight up.

Good guy he is.

Jeff hooked me up with some earlier POFT2 figs & some Saga figs I needed to replace today.  Great man and a neat Saturn Vue to boot.

Scott hooked me up today with a loose Saga Shuttle w/box at a decent price.  Thanks so much!!

Now I just have to find some room for the damned thing......I'd hate to throw it in storage.

Dan hooked me up with a minty-mint silver Boba Fett at the price he paid.  The two I received online were much less than perfect.  Thank you!!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: KB 9-pack Exclusive w/ Silver Vader
« on: June 9, 2005, 12:57 PM »
At least it's available on the website.  I had a hell of a time trying to track down all the prior Transformer exclusives from them as they never listed them online.  No there's no KB's remotely close for us Minnesotans.

I'm a sucker for packaging so I'm sure I'll be picking this up unfortunately. :(

Looks like Star Convoy is set to be released by Takara this September.  This is good news as there's still hope I'll eventually get my Overlord as well.  Orion Pax is also being released as a repainted Targetmaster Kup which looks kinda lame.  I thought I'd bump this to see if anyone else here cares about the reissues.

In-N-Out has my vote for best burger.  I remember sneaking one into a theatre a few years back when I lived in the wonderful world of Las Vegas.  Gotta love that uber-simple menu.

3. Wendy's (gotta love the 99 cent Jr. Bacon Cheesseburgers)

Wendy's bumped up their price on most of the 99 cent menu stuff here in Minnesota to $1.19 :(
