Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Congratulations to the bride to be! Carrie!!
« on: September 15, 2004, 12:04 PM »

The wedding will be the most private affair possible, just the two of us at city hall on Sept. 22nd (first day of Autumn), then we're going to Wisconsin for our honeymoon to enjoy the Autumn colors. We don't want caterers, invitations, family or any other people, expensive dresses and cakes, NO STRESS, just a simple occasion for us to enjoy, not fret over.

Carrie,
Wow, congrats you must be excited. Glad to hear you found the man of your dreams. Small weedings are way better anyways. Is Scott the reason you don't come hang out on the chat anymore? Come by and say hi every once and again. I admit Wisconsin(as much as I hate my homestate) is wonderful to enjoy the changing of the leaves. Well seeing no ones going to the weeding take some pics for everyone, and stop and the Brat Stop for a drink and I'll pick up the first round :)

Yep, looks like #2.

Turkish Uzay Chewbacca

Uzay Carded Figures

 8)

You are very correct its number 2. In the eyes of most Uzay collectors its a very very rare piece. Only the Headman and Snowtrooper are rarer or as rare. I thought it would be a great addition to my focus plus I half-heartedly want to put a Uzay collection together. I saw someone else just list a couple of Uzay's on ebay but his BIN prices seem way way way overpriced. I hope no one gets suckered into the chewie he has up. The seller claims it to be very rare which is not the case at all, at least in comparision to Uzay MOC in general.

Here is my recent ebay win http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3188918538&category=50271&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWN%3AIT&rd=1
It may look expensive but with only 3 known examples in the world, its a great score. After the auction 2 people asked the seller to change his mind and sell it to them for double the price. The bad part is I knew the people who asked him. Lucky for me the seller had integrity.

Have a read in the archive, amazing what you will find in there!  ;D   ;)

To be Honest I dont totally agree with that article. I was talking to a couple of the editors  of TRG about this. FS done in multi colors usually have dates on them, and those are FS' for sure. I now of a few examples that were FS but had something on a limb whether it be dates or copyrights. That article was writting awhile ago before alot of new info had come out.

Actually it went for very cheap considering there are very few examples known, less then 10 in very private collections.

There are only two known and documented versions of the chewie guns one is a Blue one which is found in Boxed Popy and most bagged versions the other being the black. The green one is more of discoloration. I will try and post some nice pics once I figure how to do this, anyone?

My word of advice is dont do it, prototypes suck  ;D I need no one else looking for ones. Kidding aside, if your looking for Vintage ones you better start networking like heck they dont come up to often and when they do you dont want to pay Brians toys or Cloud city prices. Of course if anyone does feel free to email me and I will sell you some. I happen to know a collector who's going to have a bunch of FS for sale real soon but he bought them from Derby so the prices may be a little pricey. DSJ, I hope this is kind of what your looking for. Keep posting in the forums that your looking for some and they will start showing up.
As for newer prototypes they are all over ebay everyday and I have no clue about newer prototypes, sorry.

Man u all need to start posting more here. This place has some serious experienced collectors as members. I understand Rebelscum is bigger but thats because of all the trafic it gets all day long. Instead of posting at RS all day lets give this place on the posts or even the same posts.

By no means do I wish this to happen but when my Mother-in-law passes away here attic is filled with toys and things from the 20's on. My brother in law had all the GI Joe 12" stuff from the early 60's and tons of baseball cards. She won't let anyone touch it yet, but in the future I hope a long time from now there qill be a great find in my mother in laws attic.
