Modern Classifieds / FS: POTF Expanded Universe Mock-up Prototype
« on: December 9, 2007, 12:10 PM »
Hello,

I've got the following piece up for sale:

Expanded Universe Mock-up Prototype:

This is a mock-up for the fold-out diarama that appeared on the Expanded Universe figures of the POTF line. It is created with cardstock from the Green POTF cards. The cardback is doubly-thick with a perforation that has not been torn (for the fold-out action).

It has a Nien Numb figure - it looks to be a production figure.

There are only a handful of these out there - last one I saw on Ebay about 2-3 years ago went for slightly more than my asking price.

Price: $350.00

Buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs. I accept Paypal from a verified account and money orders, however, if you choose Paypal, the buyer is responsible for the Paypal transaction fees.

Please either leave me a private message or drop me an email at udflyerman@gmail.com if you would like to inquire about this further.

Thanks,
Matt

Modern Classifieds / Matt's FS list w/rarities & protos
« on: August 14, 2006, 03:23 PM »
Hi all,

I have a few items that I'm looking to move to raise some funds for my upcoming wedding:

Prices listed are in US dollars and do not include shipping. These prices may be negotiable, especially when purchasing multiple items. I accept Paypal and Money Orders, but will only take personal checks from people with whom I have a positive personal history. I do my best to only charge you the actual shipping costs.

I'm happy to answer any questions about the below pieces.

POTF2 First Shot Snowspeeder. Cast in the white that you often see with the first shots from the early vehicles in the POTF2 line. This is cast from the vintage mold, as it has a 1980 copyright date on it. It's missing a few parts, as seen in the picture - including one of the rear engines and the end of one of the laser guns. These early white vehicle first shots rarely pop up in the market, and many are missing a few pieces like this one. I obtained this from a community-known credible source about 4-5 years ago and have not seen another white FS of the snowspeeder other than this one since I have been collecting. $220

Packaging sample for the POTF2 Beast assorment, namely the Luke w/Wampa. The figure in the window is a production Luke figure, however the packaging is from a Jawa/Ronto pack. This has been opened on one side, but still displays wonderfully.  $45

First shot Deluxe Slave Leia w/cannon. Obviously, the Leia figure has non-production colors in the hair and the skirt, but the cannon colors differ from the production piece as well. Obtained from Cantina Collectibles 3 or so years ago - before the onslaught of newer first shots from the Far East on eBay. $75
__________________________________________________________

POTF R2-D2 w/holo leia proof card. Note that although the die cut hanger tab appears in the picture, although it is not attached to the card any longer. $20
__________________________________________________________

Episode I Theed Generator Complex Box Flat (pictures available upon request - I don't have any sitting on my computer at the moment.). Never folded and in immaculate condition. $20

__________________________________________________________

Expanded Universe packaging sample. The figure is a production Nien Numb, but the packaging used was leftover green card POTF2. These were mock-ups to show how the 3D-playscene would work on the Expanded Universe line. There are only a handful of these running around in collections, most of which came through The Earth in Cincinnati 4+ years ago. $250

TRU Saga Luke's X-Wing w/R2D2 MISB (pics available upon request). $40

__________________________________________________________

Darth Vader Kotobukiya Resin Statue MISB. This is the first version, not the ROTS version. (pics available upon request) $40

Watto's Junk Yard / Dreamweaver questions/advice
« on: February 28, 2006, 01:50 PM »
I'm to the point where I'm ready to make the next leap in web programming from basic HTML to Dreamweaver.

As a student at a University, I've got a few options to purchase a couple of versions of Adobe/Macromedia's software at reduced prices:

1) Studio MX 2004    $117

2) Studio MX 2004 with Flash MX 2004  $145

3) Studio 8 $299

4) Dreamweaver 8 $199

Any Dreamweaver users here that can comment on the differences between the MX 2004 and 8 versions or the differences between the Flash included in Studio MX 2004 and Flash MX 2004? Any suggestions?

Thanks!    :)

Modern Classifieds / FS: Darth Vader ROTJ 65a Proof Card AFA 85
« on: November 5, 2005, 11:36 AM »
Hi all,

I have a 65-back Return of the Jedi Darth Vader Proof card that is up for sale. It's a standard proof card -  2 square corners at the bottom, 2 rounded corners at the top, with a punch tab. It is in fine condition with no creases or tears- it has been graded an AFA 85. Vader proof cards rarely come up for sale, especially publicly.

I'm asking $550 for the proof. The AFA number on it is 04384057.

You can either drop me a PM (preferred) or email me at carrollm@colorado.edu if you are interested or have questions.

Thanks,
Matt

Modern Classifieds / WTB: E3 Hasbro Darth Vader display
« on: April 7, 2005, 11:12 PM »
Hey all,

I'm looking to add some of the recent Ep 3 Hasbro displays to my collection. I'm especially after:

- Talking Vader display ("You do not know the power of the dark side.") w/motion sensor.

- Lenticular display that has Anakin's face turn into Vader's mask, with lava on the bottom edge and spaceships in the background.

If anyone has these, drop me a line at carrollm@colorado.edu .

Thanks!

Modern Classifieds / Spare SWS.com/GG Green Clone Bust FS
« on: July 18, 2004, 03:27 PM »
Hey all,

I picked up a spare Gentile Giant Green Clone Trooper bust from shop.starwars.com for a friend who was having trouble with his initial order from them. He ended up getting everything sorted out on his troubles and received his bust from them, so I'd like to offer up the extra to any needy folks in the GH/JD communities. I'm asking my cost for the bust - $55 ($50+$5 shipping from SWS.com to me), plus shipping costs to you.

The bust hasn't been opened and is #2421/2500.

Email me at: carrollm at colorado.edu with any interest or questions.

Thanks!
Matt

Newbies / I'm a newbie? *sigh*
« on: June 2, 2003, 11:31 PM »
What's up guys?

I recognize most of the names around from Rebelscum, CSW or GH, but may as well say howdy and introduce myself to those that don't know me.

I'm 26 and a grad student at the University of Colorado-Boulder. I've been on the forums staff at CSW and then RS when the sites merged. I'm currently helping out Mike at GH. I dabble in both Vintage and modern SW collecting, with a focus on Darth Vader items. I also collect autographs and, to a lesser degree, comic books.

If anyone's interested, my website is here.

Cheers,
Matt
