Seems as though there wasn't much in the way of an announcement.

There still hasn't been an offical annocement for the most part about the problems over there with Non SW stuff.  I think for the most part it wouldn't be a big problem had they (admis) came out and said "From now on no selling/Trading of non SW here" in their annocement area and giving a grace period which would eventually give people time to get use to this new fourm.  Instead they eventually decided and talked about it in they Moderator area and started editing peoples threads without notice which makes them look bad and begins up the issues of what Cory and others have over there.
I think alot of people will eventually leave there over this.

I'm just curious if there are any rules on here which prohibits the selling/trading of non star wars stuff.  I just wanted to know before I go though and make a long post with a bunch of non SW items in it and having one of the mods deleting it.

I thought of another thing that pisses me off.... my stuipid Union and Employer Vons/Safeway.  Reasons:

1.  My Union three years ago got us a new contract which gived as an extra $.50 over the three years of said contract, so I will/am making $7.40 top pay.  The same year the great state of Califorina decides to raise the min. wage to something like $6.75 so we are $.75cents abouve min. wage but when you add Union dues it goes down fast.  Anyways after the local approves the contract another group of janitors go on strike and our union goes out and supports them in they cursade to get benefits and a $3 raise over 3 years.  One funny thing which I thought of was they were better paid then us (courtesy clerks) ad so for.

2.  My employer, I just found out, doesn't pay courtesy clerks funeral leave but does for everyone else in the company I guess since I know of people getting paid when on leave for funerals.

3.  The fact that us courtesy clerks are chop liver to both of the Union and Vons.  When I was in training my trainer was telling us how the Union screwed us over (courtesy Clerks) while everyone else gets time and a half on sundays we get $.50 an hour, we where on covered for 80% of our insurance becuase we are so young, and some other stuff which I have forgotten.

I wish I could leave and get a better job but I need to wait until I finish getting my AA.  One more year to go.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Ever Walk Out of A Movie?
« on: May 23, 2003, 03:18 PM »
I haven't walked out of any movies which I can recall since I don't really want to waste my money by paying for a movie then walking out.  For the most part I usually go to movies which I can stand by looking at the trailers or listening to people talk about it.  I was going to go to see Wing Commander but didn't because of the people saying it sucked.

Some things that I hate that I have seen when I'm working:

1.  People who change they babies in they car and decided to leave the dirty diaper in the shopping cart so that one of the courtest clerks will have to pick it up and throw it away. :P ::)

2.  People who think our parking lot is a toliet.  (But at least they use the parking lot.  A while ago one of my coworkers was telling me how a kid had to go to the bathroom and the mother pointed to one of our shelfs and told her son to go there and he went.  My coworker had to mop up the mess. ANd I work in a gocery store. ::))

3.  People who don't signal, tailgate, and don't pay attention.  (I gulity of this but try not do to it.)

4.  People who tell me to speak English  ( I was born in Azusa, Ca and do speak English but have a speech impatment which makes it sound like I have a European accent.)

and some other stuff.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Children's Artwork of Star Wars
« on: May 22, 2003, 01:49 PM »
I drew mostly war scenes and not SW since when I was a kid I wasn't that big into the movie, I knew about them and like them but wasn't a fan like I am today. Instead of the Nazis I usually drew battles between the the US and Japan in the ocean.  On the other hand I did use my plastic little army men as Nazis and had them fight the US and had some great battles with Naplam and other stuff. ;D

Sad commentary:  were a kid to draw now what I drew then, I suspect they would be in for some serious long term counseling.  Fascination with war, particularly Nazi military machines (spent my youth building Tamiya model kits, predominantly German), weaponry.  Yup, sign him up for remedial politically correct behaviour classes.  And be careful he doesn't go postal.

When I was in middle school in one of my classes we had to create a country and come up with its economy and cities so my country was "War Land" and its capital was Warsaw with other war theme cities.  I propbally couldn't do this today as someone might think I'm some mean war monger.

The Original Trilogy / Re: Next question, light saber colors
« on: May 22, 2003, 12:39 AM »
I have heard that it has got to do with the cystal being dangerous so the Jedi don't use them but the Sith uses them so they can have alot of power.  That probally doesn't answer your question.

My great grandparents on my mother's mom side were Irish immigants who came to this land in the 1920's.
I think I'm at least 50% Irish with:
English
Swedish
Germany
Scotish
and American Indian
Not sure on what % though since no one in my familiy really knows.
