Thanks guys and also happy belated birthdays to everyone who is on that list.

If it's in 2010 then I would not mind it being somewhere outside of L.A.  However if it's in 2009 I would like it to be in L.A since I won't have vacation time to fly out east somewhere.  If it's Batlmore I would love to take time away from the Con to visit other sites around the town and state.

I always liked him in SG-1 and his other works.  I never heard what or why he decided to leave SG1 but reading the article found the reason.  RIP

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Camping!
« on: June 26, 2008, 09:56 AM »
My entire family just recently got back from Yellowstone which was our major planned trip for the summer.  We ended up staying in a bunk house in Idaho however instead of camping out of a tent since most of my family wouldn't of gone for the roughing part of that.
The last time I actually went camping in a tent I ended up with a close encounter of some sort of wildlife, possible a bear.  Woke up in the middle of the night because of an animal making noise outside my tent and then pressing up against my tent.  When I got up in the morning me and my brother-in-law walked outside the tent and saw paw marks around the camp site.

Saw Indy last night with my family and enjoyed it.  The only thing that I didn't like was the Vine swinging of Mutt and the tree rebounding on the Russians when Indy and gang drove off the cliff onto the tree.  One of the best parts was with the "rope" and the sand.

I went and saw it on friday and thought it was a little better then the first film as far as action goes.  I will probably see it again with my family who haven't seen it yet.

Watto's Junk Yard / More Wal-Mart Bashing
« on: May 10, 2008, 05:52 PM »
My father asked them if they were going to sell any of the damaged items and the manager told him no, that they had to throw everything in the store away and start over.
I'm guessing that either your dad or the manager he spoke to have a loose definition of "everything."  I find it pretty hard to believe that they had to toss every piece of merchandise in the store, but if they did, then maybe there was potential for safety issues and this was the best way to ensure public health?  Would you donate or sell an item if you were only 80-90% sure that it was safe?

Like I said before - it really doesn't matter what WM does.  The Wal-Mart haters in our midst will bash them regardless of what they do.  Here's another reason for you to "hate" Walmart and corporate America:

Wal-Mart’s global contributions to charitable organizations totaled more than $470 million last year

Obviously no one at Wal-Mart thinks about giving back to the community.  ::)

I doubt they threw away all of the merchidise in the store. When I use to work at a grocery store the roof collapse in our bakery/service deli area (causing the fire sprinkler main pipe to break and flooding the store).  I ended up helping with the clean up and we didn't throw away anything away not directly affected by the water.  Most of the stuff that got thrown away were bakery food and ingerdients that got dirty water and leaves all over them.  We also had to remove all of the equipment from the bakery to get cleaned.
I'm not sure the laws in your area but I doubt they threw away that stuff more then likely it just went back and eventually will ended up be sold at a "damage goods" store somewhere.

At least he didn't go to Walmart to catch the check like others have tried.

Another example of dumb criminals are these two teenagers who decided to rob a lady behind a counter:

I'm not going to change it, but where is that option? I've looked all through GG's site and I didn't see it.

When you go into the "My Account" page, it should be the first thing you see.  If it's not there click on the "home" button and that should get the auto renewal page.  If you wanted to opt out that button is on the right hand side of where the current status of the "auto renew" feature is.

For those who don't check Rebelscum out and don't want to renew their membership in the PGM you need to log into your account and turn off the Auto-renewal option that GG decided to pop up.  Also if you do decide to renew your "free" gift will cost you Shipping and handling.

I ended up DVRing one epsiode of 360 about the first weeks of the war and the USS Enterpise activities.  One of the more interesting things on it was how a (I think) Mechanic Mate 3rd class, jumped into the rare gunner's seat of a dive bomber/torpedo bomber to fire on a Japanese Bomber who was starting to start a Kamikaze run at the Enterpise.  The US bomber was parked on the deck making it an easy target for the Japanese pilot to target for the impact zone of the crash.  Eventually the Japanese Bomber ended up summersalting over the park bomber and crashing into the water.
Admiral Halsey saw this event and ordered the Mechanic Mate to see him and ended up promoting him.
