I can't believe I actually just typed that in, but Target did indeed have a few new items! On the pegs were an Imperial Officer, Red Battle Droid, Yoda with Chair, and Padme Droid Factory Chase. I could not believe myself, I almost fell over. The Red Droiid and Imperial officer figures were so near mint, but the obsessive compulsive part of me kicked in and I didn't pick them up. Now that I think back, it was stupid of me. They were great looking, this was a great find especially on the birthday. Still only about 8 figures on the pegs including these so this must be because of the Target Clone Wars promotion. Stay tuned to JediDefender for the latest!

Were the pegs previously barren? Mine have been empty (and I mean EMPTY, ZERO, NADA) for weeks, presumably in preparation for new figures. Hopefully your situation is indicative of a chainwide change.
And while I'm looking forward to seeing the Clone Wars line finally hit the shelves, I'd still like to see more early 2003 stuph make its way out. (Dooku and Ani's speeder bikes, please.)

Target is where I've found 95% of my 2003 Saga stuff this year, with the other 5% coming from Walmart. Nothing anywhere else. Period. TRU is completely out of the game. I've had a couple pretty large scores at Target this year, along with probably 8-10 other smaller sitings...
The Targets around here all completely cleared out their pegs (supposedly a Hasbro rep stopped by) in the last month or two, a couple new cases momentarily hit in a few of those locations, and they've also just put out a handful of other older figures in the last couple days. But I've got to assume the Target toy managers are aware of the empty pegs, and have new product ordered by now. That's if they're not gearing up for a Clone Wars promotion of some type in the next month or so.
But yes - Target is THE place for the new Saga figures this year. Those empty pegs in many stores may be annoying, but I'd keep checking back there if I were you...

Yes, the pegs were just about empty. One or two Orn Free Taa's at the very most. I really am hoping for more Saga too, not just the Clone Wars.

Some good finds there, Chris. I’m glad stuff is finally starting to show up for you :). Personally, I wouldn’t have been able to pass on a near mint red-battle droid (the UK never gets the rehashes/variants brought over by Hasbro). The blonde IO I finally found online was only about C8.5, but I was just happy to get it.
I don’t know how people have the patience to wait for the ’03 figures to get to retail. Maybe Internet shopping is quite a bit more expensive than retail in the US? In the UK it costs about the same per figure, and everything is available as soon as it’s released.

I must have been lucky,I found every figure up till Han Hoth(including Boba Fett)in Wal-mart,about 3 months ago(half at wal-mart the other half at a flea market that got them fom wal-mart)

Yes Brent, join us here in the Twin Cities. Targets are about as plentiful as McDonalds around here. Heck, I have about 5 Targets all within 10 minutes of my house.
I just wish one of them had something new once in a while. >:(

The Target here has had empty pegs for at least a month now. Or so it seems. I keep thinking they will fill it with 2003 figs. Nope, not yet anyway.

Hey OCB my Walmart sells that all year round. You want some now I'll send it to ya! ;D As for the Ashla Jempa wave I saw it today make that I saw all the new figures in my local scalpers hands as he was paying for them. It's people like that I wish they're atm or credit cards wouldn't go through and they didnt have cash <G>
Anyway enough of my rant, bring on Coleman Trebor!

Yep, I went to Target last night and they had 1 Ashla & Jempa, 1 Blonde Imp Officer, and 2 Red Battle Droids. Then the usual glut of Destroyer Droids and Yoda Jedi Council Chair and unsold Accesory Sets. Not many pegs for new figures but hey there is hope. A new hope if you will :)
I checked Wal-Mart - nothing new there.
K-Mart - nothing new.
Kay-Bee - zilch.
Wal-Mart #2 - zippo.

Went to Target this afternoon and found the Archive Droids. That's it. Obviously someone beat me to the rest of the case (whatever was in it), probably scalpers. It's ALWAYS the scalpers. They have such a foul odor they leave a vapor trail behind. I could almost make out the silhouette...
Anyway, it's here, just not in adequate quantities. :P

Just came back from a Target that at first check, still had empty pegs. Then, I spot on the shelf hidden behind some old Action Fleet ships, one of the 2003 figs. I start getting excited as I see it's the Yoda and Chian figure that I still need. Then I held it up to inspect it. So much for getting excited over it. I'm guessing whoever went out of their way to hide the figure was also the one who took the tab that actually holds the fig on the peg and bent it all the backwards and making this a non-mint card which I have no interest in. But in an effort to get even with this culprit, I hung the fig back on the pegs in hopes that someone else will buy it before the one who hid it returns.
Oh, and Brent, I'll have to check with the wife but I'm pretty sure that if you show up to move in and you don't have a Canada sweatshirt for her, you'll probably be sleeping on the patio. ;)

Have you heard any news about Target and SW basic figs? I stopped at the
Target in Plainfield last night and they told me they would not carry
the basic figs until the Christmas reset? Have you heard anything about
this? I've not seen anything new since the Han & Chewie that you found
for me. Have you seen the Yoda/Padawan packs?

I'll have to check the Targets soon. Other than that, I have seen NOTHING NEW!!! :( >:( The newest figs I've seen are at GROCERY STORES, and that was just the High Council Yoda/DD wave. That's why I entered the Kebco $50 credit contest. I hope I win so I can buy something new for a change.

I think my local Target has already received and burned through their allotment of new stuff. Damn. They got in the Padawan case a week ago, but they haven't yet received the stuff with new cardbacks.

Collection 2 MOTHERLODE score at Target just now for me!!! 8) 8) 8)
My local Target just down the street from my office FINALLY filled up some of their empty pegs. I was shocked when I turned the corner of the Star Wars aisle, glanced down to the usually bare pegs, and saw "stuff" hanging there! Sprinted the whole 20 feet and started scooping stuff up! Oddly enough, most of it was sitting on the shelf, with only a few actually up on the pegs themselves... And to think that I almost just drove home, but bit the bullet at the very last second and turned the other way, "just in case"... Good decision, I must say! :D
Getting closer and closer to getting all caught up finally... 8)

I tried my local Target yesterday, and found a Red Battle Droid. It's the first '03 figure I've seen yet. It was just a great feeling seeing something new in a store.

My wife and I checked out our closest Target this weekend, and all they had was a few of the Deluxe sets/Accessory sets, and no pegs even out for basic figures anymore. Their toy aisle was also rearranged since the last time I was there. However, there was a decent sized bare space in their aisle (no pegs even)...perhaps reserved for this rumored Clone Wars launch? I'm not sure, but I sure hope they put out some new stuff soon. Congrats to all of you who have found something new!

Karma, in Daytona Beach, stumbled upon the new Unleashed about a week ago. She was also the first at Rebelscum to have the newer Boba Fett wave.
I think the entire East Coast is getting the shaft when it comes to stuff, cuz NC is vacant and always has been.

Finally I scored at Target!! Not in that way! ;)
Anyways this morning I picked up X1 Jedi Luke, X1 Darth Vader, X1 Snowtrooper. They also had the repacks of X1 C-3P0 and X1 Jango Fett.
Also on the pegs was Boba Fett, Hoth Han (Blue), Chewbacca, R2-D2, and some Clone Pilots and Destroyer Droids.

Guys, please keep me in mind when you see those repacked Jango's. If there is one, MOMC, grab it for me. I'd be extremely happy, since 3 people in my very own NC thread have passed on them, totally forgetting about the biggest Jango Fett fan in the world. ::)
