I love my team and all and will for all my life but I think today is about as low as they have ever been in my lifetime

Watching Daunte play like he is doing is painful...I almost hope they lose out and draft Reggie Bush #1

This team is done.  The only thing we have to look for now is next year, when we know there will be a ton of changes everywhere, hopefully for the better.  A high first rounder would be nice, too, but they need a guy who can make a difference right away.  They need a ton of help everywhere.

I don't care for the Angels, but I hate to see a team lose due to a blown call.  That sucks, man.

The Angels luck against the Yankees is going to run out in this series...

Now what'cha got to say, bitch  :-*

 :-*

Now please continue with the futile umpiring rants, even though calls were blown big-time in both directions.  It's just that all the commentators (both when they were playing in NY and now here), are MASSIVELY baised in favor of the Yankess and will make as much a stink about anything potentially going against the Yankees as possible...  Absolutely disguesting commentating throughout the series.  Some of those guys should be fired.

The FOX announcers are some of the worst announcers there are no matter what the sport.  It won't get any better from here on out with that talentless hack Joe Buck in the booth.  I wish Vin Scully and Bob Uecker would do national stuff.  I could listen to those guys all season.  Jim Kaat was really good when the Twins had him.  He would be another good choice.  Announcers are all flash and no substance now IMO.  Sports Center and Chris Berman are to blame.  They detract from and distract viewers from the game.  Sorry for the rant.
No Yankees and no Braves=a World Series I will watch.  No offense to fans of those teams intended, I just like seeing a few different teams in the playoffs each year.

A turd is a turd whether or not it's $7 or $30.  The author of that garbage should realize that.

Congrats of the arrival, John. Hope mine make it to me after my move.

Question -- do the figures look as shiny in person? They look like they're made from some very lustrous plastic... kind of concerning...

I don't think they are any more shiny than previous figures.  It might just be the flash on my camera is strong and hit them just right.

The third leg is not removable.  The figures came in taped plastic bags inside a white tray.  There is an instruction sheet for the bowcaster and there are white pegs for the Early Bird display.

The finale was really good.  It will be a long wait for the next season.  Anybody else feeling sorry for the Cylon prisoner?

I picked up the certifcate at Wal-Mart during the tent event.  I sent it in right away.  My parents came over for a visit and brought the set over.  It comes in a white box that says "Early Bird Figures" in the lower left corner along with what I'm guessing is a part number, 85868.  The figures range from great to so-so.  Chewie is by far the best.  He looks to be the VOTC version with a different head.  R2 has three legs and they all have little rollers on the bottom.  He has a sensor scope that comes out when you turn his head.  He is my second favorite.  Luke comes with his telescoping saber.  He has standard neck articulation, waist articulation and standard leg articulation.  He also has ball jointed shoulders, which was a nice touch.  I would have liked him more if his left arm and knees were articulated.  Leia is the least impressive IMO.  Her face sculpt is the best part of the figure.  The rest of her could use some work.  She is far too preposed for my taste.  Her neck has no articulation.  Her arms are stuck in the gun holding pose.  Her dress is rigid and you really can't move her legs.  She would have been perfect with VOTC articulation.  I don't understand why Hasbro didn't give Luke, Leia and Chewie the same articulation.  I understand Luke's right arm can't have any, and I would accept that, but the rest of him and Leia should have been given as much attention as Chewie.  I am indifferent to this set at this point.  I'll take pictures later when my camera's batteries recharge.

Nice to see the MN Gophers finally beat Purdue for the first time in seven years.  The Gophers dominated the game until the 4th Qtr and then things got wild.  The final was 42-35 in 2 OT.  Purdue's top ranked run defense got lit up.  I hope this means good things for the Gophers this year.

My dad called me today and told me there is a package for me at his house that says "Early Bird" on it.  I won't be able to get it until Monday, but I'll post pictures as soon as I can.

The cheapskate owner was the one who came up with the idea from what I've heard.  I would like nothing more than to see him give up and sell the team to someone who cares and will keep them in town.  It's frustrating.

The O-line actually gave Culpooper time yesterday, he just wasn't making the correct throws.  He would throw to a covered guy even if the defender was in between the reciever and the ball.  He overthrew.  He underthrew.  He forced the ball at the wrong time.  He locks onto one reciever and misses  out on open guys.  He panics too easily.  He's not a bright man from what I can tell.  I would take a smart QB who keeps his cool anyday over a supposedly gifted athlete that looks good on paper anyday.  Too bad those types are hard to find.

The Twins are done.  The starting pitchers have decided to join the hitters at sucking.  I guess they have decided to give up.  Real professional.  Gardenhire has no control over his team.  He should be fired, but the cheapskate owner will never do it.  There will be some rebuilding for this team next year.

Daunte as the undisputed team leader=Custer at Little Big Horn.  The NFC North is horrible.  Not one of those teams impresses.  They might have a team win the division with 6 or 7 wins.  Ugly.
