The chase piece in series 4 may be a paint variant of the Clone Trooper, but nothing has been announced yet.  Don't expect an answer on that until July.

Also you missed the Toyfare blue clone trooper bust up.  Also the black hole stormtroopers, of which there are three.  Or are you pulling a Colman and denying their existence?  I can take a picture of one if you like

From what I gathered from Gentle Giant's June update, it sounds as if starting with Bust Ups Series 4 (Revenge of the Sith), the bust ups will be packaged so you can clearly see which one is inside.  To me, that is great news.  This is a line I've been tempted by since it started, but I still only have the Chewbacca bust up.  I really like the larger, mini bust line, but the Mrs. just thinks $40+ is too much (each), and I suppose with my collecting budget...that is true.  I always thought the Bust Up line would be a cost-effective alternative to those .  If I were to try to catch up, likely focusing only on the OT characters (and maybe this ROTS wave), how tough or expensive would it be?  I'm not really concerned with the variants and all of that at this point, but just picking up the basic ones I've missed.

I'm thinking about waiting for the "OT" version of Yoda coming up in the upcoming ROTS series, if I do decide to jump into these.  I was curious how tough you would think it would be to catch up with these bust ups, if I was going for the OT based ones at this point?  Thanks for any advice.

Fortunately Brian, from what I've seen so far (haven't checked in the past month though), the Bust-up line really doesn't seem to explode in value like many other lines.  So pretty much all of those early pieces can easily be found for around the original $5 each, if not even a little cheaper - especially if you're not interested in the variants.

Plus, I'm sure there's still plenty of extras floating around with members here at JD, so you can probably get some that way too.

I usually just scope out a nice, complete, lot of each series at cost (on eBay or the boards), and nab them all at once.  Haven't had to pay more than $5 for any of them yet.  Granted, I've stayed away from those damned Blackhole Stormtroopers, which still cost an arm and a leg...

Since Bust-Ups were launched in 2004, they’ve grown quite a following and at San Diego Comic-Con you will be able to add to your collection with the debut of the 2005 Exclusive Silver Jango Fett Bust-Up. During Comic-Con the quantity of Silver Jango Fett Bust-Ups for purchase will be allocated on a per day basis.

I'm surprised GG doesn't have a full sized bust available for the summer conventions as an exclusive.  But I guess that's cool, since it's one less headache to worry about.

I'll go ahead and nab myself one of these, and as many others as I can for my fellow JD'ers here.  Only one per day though, so I'm assuming they'll be punching badges...

Bite me.  chuckles had them for a good six months, I've had them for maybe three.  I just have to figure out where I put them   and those free minis which you seem insistent on making me want to give to someone else (remember the mini included with the unleashed stormtrooper??)

Matt, I'd say Brent's poor attitude should disqualify him from receiving one of those.  I'm a much better alternative to get one.   

But seriously, if you do manage to get an extra, I'd love to have it.
