Title: can a non DT figure have an "A" type cardback
Post by: iansilv on August 16, 2005, 08:59 PM
I just purchased  a DT luke skywalker on ebay, and I looked at the cardback- it has the paragraph describing how to pull out the saber with the extending tip, not the later cardback where the instructions were changed to reflect the newer non tlescoping saber.  Is it possible that an original non-telescoping figure could have a telescoping firgure cardback?

I can't say for sure, but I would guess it's possible since after the change to the saber was made, Kenner would have likely used up any leftover cards they had available. Also note that the instructions for the DT sabers appeared on 12-A and 12-B cards. More details on the various cardbacks can be found on the Archive via the following link...

Absolutely.  Carded DT sabers are wicked rare, but many many figures can be found on 12a backs, including Luke/Ben/Vader with regular sabers.

Are you sure it's a DT? Last I heard you weren't sure yet. Did it arrive?
