This is the only figure I've seen from this wave, and it looks like a big orange turd.

I'm usually a sucker for background guys like this, I'd usually buy at least two, but I've passed on all four I've seen.

What a hideous nightmare.

If I ever find one on clearance I'll get it, though, as the body is perfect ICMG custom fodder.

All I know is they better get that Pam and Jim chemistry back, because the new chick Jim is flirting with is hot and I'm starting to think about her when I masturbate instead of Pam.

Anyone else watching the TV show with Harvey Keitel and Donnie Wahlburg?  I cought most of it last night (what can I say...I don't have Peyton on my FF team this year, so it hurts to watch him play), and I thought it was pretty good.

Too bad it wasn't very accurate.

Well no ****, it's got former NKOTB Donnie Wahlburg as a bad ass.

But still, pretty good ;)

I had heard that PJ and New Line were pissing on each other over royalties from the LOTR trilogy.

I wonder if their relationship has soured, or if it's just a professional issue with a bunch of blood sucking parasite leech attorneys doing all of the wrangling.

Watto's Junk Yard / September 11 - The Anniversary

I can't believe it's been five years.

I remember coming home from the gym that morning and turning on the news.  The first plane had struck, and everyone was still trying to figure out if it was an accident or what.  Then the second plane hit....

What an absolutely insane period of time that was.

I'll leave the accuracy arguments out, because it's a dramatization, but it sure makes you think.

It's weird that Donnie Wahlburg was an NKOTB.  He was kind of a bad ass in the show.

I also thought it was funny that the dad from The Wonder Years played George Tenet.  I remember seeing pictures of George Tenet at certain angles and thinking, "Jeez, he looks kinda like the dad from The Wonder Years."

God bless those that lost their lives that day, and since.  And bless those that they left behind.

Someone needs to declare war on these mantafascists and their weapons of individual destruction before they indiscriminately stab more Aussies.

Vote GOP in '06, or the stingrays will win.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Favorite Duel (Entire Saga)
« on: September 4, 2006, 02:01 PM »
QGJ & OWK vs. DM in TPM.

Although not technically a "duel," that's the best fight of the Saga.  For one, it's got Darth Maul, who despite being underdeveloped and underutilized, is bad-ass and has a double-bladed lightsaber.

Plus there's the part where Obi Wan does a little head fake and draws Darth Maul in and then Qui Gon attacks.

Plus there's also the part where Qui Gon bitch slaps Darth Maul and sends him flying off the catwalk thingies they're fighting on.

TPM sucks, but that fight scene is top notch.

My second favorite would be Vader vs. Kenobi in ROTS, just because of how intense the whole scene is.  Anakin's dialogue is way bad ("From my point of view the Jedi are Evil!"  ::) ), but the part where Obi Wan says, "I have failed you, Anakin.  I have failed you." makes me cry.

Then my third favorite is Vader vs. Obi Wan in ANH.  I'm guessing that by then, Obi Wan learned that Anakin turned to the Dark Side seeking the power of immortality, but in the process, lost his wife, his kids, and his humanity.  Obi Wan, though, through the Light Side, learned how to become one with the Force, and thus, immortality.  So when he says "If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine," he's totally rubbing Vader's face in it.

My fourth favorite is Luke vs. Vader in ROTJ.  Mostly because of the music and when Luke goes ape**** and starts hacking away at everything until he chops off dad's hand.  That's schweeet.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Favorite Neimoidian?
« on: September 4, 2006, 01:46 PM »
My favorite Nemoidian is Rune Haako.  I wrote a fan fic novella where, upon being ousted from the Senate, Finis Valorum is appointed to prosecute the Trade Federation for its crimes against Naboo.

It's a John Grishamesque legal thriller set in the Star Wars Universe, pitting Valorum's keen mind against Rune Haako's cunning gamesmanship.

I call it "Shatterpoint."
