Just picked up both Cloak of Deception and Phantom Menace in HB for a total of $6 plus tax.  The bargain shelves at Half-price book store are awsome!

Cloak of Deception, I just found the name on theforce.net.  It's chronological list said it was the previous book to Shadow Hunter.

Nope.  I have the paperback version too though.  I bought it for a buck about a week ago.  I'll keep it to read the short story.  Is the book before Shadow Hunter any good?  They had that for $3 too.  I forget what it's called but it had Qui-Gon Jinn and the head bad dude from Superman 2 on the cover... :)

Cloak of Deception is the name of it!  Just checked theforce.net.  Any good?

Anyone else see this???  My wife and I went yesterday afternoon.  What a enormously huge pile of crap that turned out to be!!!  Maybe it was my fault for being overly excited to see zombie-like freaks on the big screen, but I left that movie thinking "I should have gone to Rugrats go wild."

What's your opinions?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Favorite Kind of music
« on: July 14, 2003, 07:22 PM »
I have a pretty big range, but only certain groups from those catagories.  I like:

Christian music- Matt Redmond, Delerious?, Tree 63, LSU, Prayer Chain, East West, Adam Again.

Country music- Travis Tritt, John Micheal Montgomery, early Garth Brooks, Sawyer Brown.

Rock- Counting Crows, REM, U2, Lifehouse, GNR, Metalica, Pearl Jam(Ten album only), Clapton, Creedence, Mellencamp, Beetles, Pink Floyd...

I listen to alot of 80's and 90's mostly.  I HATE rap, Techno, and "teeny-bob" music

Lions are gonna win 7 this year, 9 next year, and make the playoffs in 3.

I watch all the old Transformer and GI Joe cartoons that I have.  I watch all the earlier Dragon Ball Z episodes.  As far a current stuff I watch Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Sponge Bob Squarepants, and Spiderman of ABC family.  Occasionally I get to watch the X-men on ABC family.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Anyone fascinated by SHARKS?!
« on: July 14, 2003, 11:00 AM »
Sharks are my favorite animal.  If I could have a big enough tank in my house I'd have 3.  The shark tank at Sea World in california was almost as fun as Disneyland.  I could have sat there for hours watching them.

My favorite show on sharks that I've seen so far is the one about seal island.  Seeing a great white jump out of the water while nailing a seal was really cool.  It's supposedly the only place in the world they do this at.

Only 2 lines of figures stand out in my mind.

Krull- movie figs for this one would be great.

Army of Darkness-Sure we've got the larger Ash and Bad Ash figs, but wouldn't you like some 3 3/4" size figs of Ash, Bad Ash, Ash's chick, the smithy, the weasel guy who whips him at the biginning of the movie, King Arthur, Prince Henry the Red, Skeleton warriors...

WOW!  You guys have totally glossed over the bigest NBA story in the NY/NJ area.  The NY Post reproted yesterday that Jason Kidd would only stay with the Nets if the organization fired Coach Byron Scott.

I covered it in my reply on page 11...

Up here in Seattle a bunch of fans have been calling sports radio and are pissed about Payton signing with the rival Lakers.  They think he's some how betraying them.  For me, I think it's great!  Let's see, you tell your current team for almost 2 years that you want a contract extension so that you can end your career with the same team.  The team keeps saying no, then they end up trading you off at the trade deadline to the other side of the states away from the family.  When your contract is up with that new team, what are you going to do???  Re-sign with whoever you choose, and you have no loyalties anymore because nobody showed the loyalty to you.  He's now back on the West Coast close to his family, and at LEAST he didn't sign with Portland!!!  Now THAT would have been the knockdown blow followed by a golden shower!

As for both players latching onto the Lakers so they can get a gold ring, I think it stinks.  I can't wait till Kobe becomes a free agent and leaves LA, some other team will get all the foul calls.....can't have basketball's favorite son sitting out during the playoffs can we? ::)?

I think the worst of the offseason by far is Jason Kidd's comments(if he actually said them) about coming back to New Jersey only if Byron Scott is fired.  I hope New Jersey owners show some balls and do not bow down to one stinking players(even if he is one of the best PG in the game right now) big mouth and pompus attitude.

I'm not a virgin either, but it wasn't on ET.  ::)  I guess there's no press report when you only sleep with your wife... ;D
