I've had mine for over a month.  It is a very well done piece with lots of detail, an accurate sculpt, and realistic paint-work.  The "cockpits" are a nice feature, but I really like the rolling tank tread.  This vehicle is an example of what Hasbro designers can do when they put their minds to something... wish they had done more of that with the Y-Wing. 

So I sat down last night and watched a re-run of "Empire" on Spike TV, partly to relax, but also to catch the 2-3 seconds you see Willrow Hood running by with his ice cream maker

That has to be one of the most obscure movie characters ever made into an action figure

A random question, however, have the new AT-ST and Dewback been spotted at retail in US Wal Marts yet?  I've not seen them in my area and ebay seems to be devoid of them for the moment as well.  The TRU exclusives have been out in my area for well over a week now.  Just thought I'd ask  

I was pleased with the episode overall.  Apart from the lengthy commercial breaks, it was fun to watch.  Lots of action and violence, as there should be in such a massive conflict.  The brutal nature of many scenes in the show (beating up Jocasta Nu, Cade Bane torturing the Rodian Jedi to death, etc.) are one thing I have liked about the CW series.  It is accurately depicting the negative events that happen in warfare.  The show is not softened for the little kids and has enough complexities that an older fan can really enjoy it.  In fact, I think it is easier for an older fan to understand everything that is going on in the show and fit it within the greater context of the SW universe.  Having worked with elementary school-age children as a mentor and tutor, I've found that while many really like the CW series, they are at a loss to explain why the clones and Jedi are fighting the seperatists and have no inkling of who their hero Anakin will eventually become  

I am very interested to see where Asoka's character is going to go during the series...  She is definitely developing in a manner that runs contrary to Jedi ethics; something more like Anakin's personality.  It will be interesting to see what exactly happens to her near the end of the series.  What concerns me more, however, is actually how long this series will continue and how the show will conclude.  It cannot go on indefinitely as there is only a finite amount of time between Episodes II and III and it would be great if the show ended as sort of a precursor to Episode III. 

They also replaced the big Star Wars display at my local TRUs, moving the items back to the regular Star Wars section.  I was OK with that as apart from the Imperial V-Wing, there was never anything new at the big display and it was always picked over. When my stores reset, they put out the new items, including the said gunship

I've recently joined this discussion board, though I've been a long time lurker on Jedi Defender and a regular poster on the Small Scale Headquarters military collecting website...  I've been a Star Wars fan and toy collector since the early 1980s


Anyways, long story short, I found the new TRU exclusive TIE Interceptor at the Clovis, CA. TRU today


My quick review:
The cockpit is entirely new tooling and the interior is great.  Very nicely detailed and largely accurate to the "actual" examples in the film.  Easily the most accurate TIE cockpit seen on any Hasbro TIE ship except perhaps the TIE Bomber.  The ejection seat is cool as is the instrument/control column.  The targeting screen on the control column is painted, though the control sticks are in a different configuration than seen in the film.  The lights and paneling on the cockpit walls are also detailed.  The pod has extendable chin guns and the correctly opening hatch.  The wings are not new toolings and are still date stamped "LFL 1983"!  The figure is also nice and has a removable helmet, like the TIE pilot in the Wal Mart evolutions pack.  The ship is painted in the overall blue-gray color, which I've heard is more accurate to the film than the solid gray.   

The only real stinker about the new TIE Interceptor is the price.  Mine rang up to $54.48 which is really a lot considering what all comes in the set (two wings, retooled cockpit pod, and figure).  Darned if I had not already used up my $10 off a $50 purchase card, but the TIE came out much, much earlier than I expected.  Nevertheless, I am happy with the ship and will highly recommend it
