Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Target Sale... 10/3-10/9

Took in my receipts - got back about $20.  Not bad!  I even picked up some OTC I hadn't planned on getting.  Which is good and bad.

Oh yeah, that scene where a padawan donned a disguise to infiltrate the handmaiden ranks, and saw the secret handmaiden pillow fights.  Won't that be in the rerelease?

I'm afraid I'll have to add to the confirmations  ;D - I received my Stormie today, and I ordered them a few hours after the post here alerting us to their in-stockness.

Also, I received no shipping confirmation email from OMGNCFO.  The only email I got from the whole transaction was the Paypal confirmation email when I place the order.

Thanks for the info Diddley.  I got one Stormie, and now I want more.  Second time I've tried 'em - I hope this goes as well as the first time.

Whoa, I lucked into these yesterday.  These were a site to see on the pegs, and man the cards look great.  I'm usually an opener, but I can't bring myself to rip these up yet.  I'll get to it soon.  Got an extra Stormie and Chewy for local collector.  8)  We got it going ON in the local ASWCC - we pass the new figures around like that! *snaps*

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Time for some new flip-flops.
« on: July 28, 2004, 01:48 PM »
This thread has gotten thinking about footwear, and how!  I've seen people wearing flip flops while out on the town, and I've been getting envious.  I look down at my socks and shoes and feel prudish and layered.  Wow, it would feel so good to go free and easy with some 'flops.  The closest thing I have are some wal-mart cheapo "extreme sports" type of rubber footwear - fake surfing footwear I wear in mountain streams and such.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

Another band I thought I'd "get around to seeing sooner or later", except now they aren't together no more.    :(

Sometimes you can get whole baked potatos and gently used cheeseburgers out of the dumpster at Wendy's, but I digress.

I've never gotten toys out of an actual dumpster, but a buddy of mine just last week found a bunch of toys in a trash pile on the curb.  Millenium Falcon, Jabba's playset, Hoth, figures, and Gi-Joes (all vintage!).  He doesn't know anything about them and can't identify a lot, so I'm going to check it out soon.

Virex creamcheese

I don't know what this means.

Zappa, "Freak Out", 1966, the last song - has a bit about Suzy Creamcheese.

this is your conscience baby.  Please get "After the Goldrush"!!! This is very important.  Picking up "Zuma" isn't a bad idea either.  "Everybody Knows this is Nowhere" is a fine intro.

Yeah, I knew I was leaving out a couple of essentials--Goldrush being one of them.  Was thinking of Zuma, too--although I don't know that it's regarded to be on the same level as the others.  But, thanks--one day, I'll buy 'em all.

Maybe not on the same level, but the songs with Crazy Horse sound like they are from 1 era.  Goldrush - I still think its a big priority to get.

Everyone go for it!

How can my conscience be recommending Neil Young CDs to everybody else?

Awkward transition to first person narrative, sorry.

Hey, and those Sonic Youth records - I think they made me into the man I am today.  Whatever kind of man that is.  Expressway to Yr. Skull, Starpower,...I want to hear Tom Violence right now!

But I'd really like to get more of the pre-Decade stuff.  Only one I have so far is Everybody Knows This is Nowhere.  I've been really wanting to get Harvest and Tonight's the Night for a long time.

Addendum:

Studies show that in bathrooms containing multiple stalls, the stalls closest to the sinks and door are the least used, while the stalls furthest away are the most used.  So it may wise to choose those that have seen the least amount of action.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Take Any Pills?
« on: May 24, 2004, 01:45 PM »

While its not a pill, I do take a twice daily Flovent inhaler for asthma. I hate having something that I have to have with me all the time, but its better than not breathing...because I know that sucks.

I started this recently, and I've had pretty good results.  Now I don't hit the Albuterol inhaler every 4 hours like I was doing.  My asthma has always come and gone, so that for years I didn't need anything, but now I have to have an inhaler with me all the time.  It makes it a b*tch to exercise, because even before I get hot or sweaty, I can't breathe.  And forget running outside, I couldn't even last a quarter mile.

Also, I would take Allegra, but insurance won't cover it now because there is a similiar over the counter medicine.  Unfortunately, it is drastically inferior to Allegra, and I can't even notice any effects.
