Could the wookiee actually be Chewbacca from the Holiday Special Cartoon?
Previous 5 packs have had the Droids Wicket and C-3PO and there's the carded R2 and Fett. Maybe this is another in a series of nods to those old animations?

I was looking at the holo Vader again and was wondering if Medicom will finally make the helmet one piece instead of two with this figure. It doesn't make sense that this figure would have two pieces and be removable for a holo figure... The close-up picture leaves room for debate...

I had a sneaking suspicion that Mace would show up in a box set as he's way too popular in Asia/Japan to be simply a chase figure. Cool beans on the Pilot, he'll go well with the Red B-Wing pilot. :)
And nice catch on the potential Holiday Special colors on Chewie Jay, it looks like a definite possibility there.

If it's anything like the last few box sets, I'm sure you'll see someone eBaying the figures individually so you can just grab a Chewie that way...

The Hoth version of Chewbacca in this set makes more sense now, with the recent announcement of the Deluxe Hoth series. Can't wait to get both sets.

I just noticed there is no center leg for the R2-B1 pictured in this set, which is different from R2-D2, R2-Q5, R5-D4, and R5-J2, all of which have the center leg. Think this one won't have that extra piece? Or, is it retractable? I'll have to check my droids.

Well, this set isn't out yet but is expected to be released this month, so, in the next two weeks. I've got one on order, and I hope to hear about it soon.
Anyone have any insight on the missing center leg of this R2 droid? Seems like an expensive fix to customize if it is indeed missing, in that I'd have to cull that part from another Rx-droid, and none of the previous releases is too plentiful. Plus, I hate to hack up perfectly good kubs. Then again, all the others have it, so this one would look a bit odd without it.

I'm wondering if it wasn't a pre-production photo and they caught the problem subsequently? I'm not overly concerned though, I'm just happy to get the set.

R2-B1 probably shares the same (new?) body with the Bartender R2 (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=19405.msg431660#msg431660) from the Deluxe Jabba's Palace series. That version doesn't have the middle leg either.

Dale is correct. I try not to talk about it too much, but I have a guy I've been buying Canadian carded figures for over the past five plus years and he helps when he can. Nothing guaranteed but better than average luck.

Hey Dale, is it me or does Mace have a different look to him than the original production shot we were given back in January? I kind of like the new look better.

Agreed. There's a lot of glare in that last photo, but up the page a bit is another better shot, and to me, it appears that MAce is showing some teeth in the final product. Could we get a closeup of your Mace for comfirmation? (My set is secure, but my guy only ships out at the end of the month. So, still waiting ...)

Thanks for posting Dale. I think that the entire face has been changed, not just the mouth. The eyes look different and they added 'cheek lines'. I do like the final product better than the original though. I'm really going to try my damnedest to get this set, or at a minimum the Mace.

Some loose figs have appeared on ebay. Another seller separating the wheat from the chaff. To be honest though I'd do the same as Chewie and the Y-Wing pilot out shine the other three by miles.

Well about two thirds through writing the Kubrick book before I start on photos and this droid is stumping me! Where the hell is this droid in the films!?

I think the general belief is that he's a typo version of R2-B1:

There are an understandably huge number of R2 units, so it's possible that that's wrong. But it would be a pretty logical conclusion to draw.
