Hmm, Crawford says they used magnets in Leia's arms. Hopefully, attachment of pieces won't be an issue with Dagobah Luke, as there's no version that has swappable parts. Thanks for the input.

wasn't that the case with just the exclusive version though because of the swappable arms for the different blasters. i haven't checked to see if leia's arm comes off though (don't wanna try) with the regualr edition I purchased. i liked how the only thing i had to assemble was simply putting Leia on her base...

I have Vader and Kenobi and they're fantastic.  They assemble very well - the only tricky part seems to be finding the right angle to insert the lightsaber into the hand.

The paint application is absolutely perfect on both, no flaws at all.

they are fantasic. i was in awe with the vader (the shop wanted $450 for that one) and i'm thinking the obi wan will be next (he was my personal favorite out of all of them followed by leia, than vader). i think the weaker two in the set are the han and luke but both are decent figures even with their flaws. i'm interested to see if SS will make a Jedi Luke in a similar manner than that of Obi Wan as I only want one figure from each character.

any of you guys know (a website) that still has the box of 12 for preorder (besides BBTS). could care less if the cases are set up where they know the exact cases where the chases will be.  if the set-up on the figures that i see are correct, then whatevers in the box of 12 will suffice...

I just picked up my first 1/4 scale fig (Princess Leia) last weekend at a hobby shop nearby. Personally, I love this line and I have set my intentions on only buying from the original trilogy. Leia was all set up and didn't need to be put together. No smudge marks, scrapes, or anything like that. The cloth material might be a little wrinkled but other than that the PF figures are pretty well insulated in the cardboard that they are contained in.

The only PF that I've seen put together was a Grevious exclusive that was being put together a few weeks back at the same place. I asked the employee the same question you are asking. He said it wasn't a problem assembling the figure but put it together with caution as he didn't want the pieces to break if pushed into place too hard. Looking at the final product, as much as I'm not really into the prequels, Grevious looked fantastic!!

If you want to take a better look into some in depth reviews and pics check out: www.mwctoys.com. Michael Crawford has some great reviews on those and he helped me make up my mind into making Leia my first purchase in the line. Good Luck.

why are these so expensive...i've come across the stormie and vader at a comic book shop for i think ($59.99)...seeing these on the shelf doesn't do anything for me and i don't know why....it looks like the price point is way to high on these...

My Target stopped carrying Sportspicks awhile ago and it looks like the same thing is happening with my Wally World's around here. The best place for these are at TRU or KB (which is the more expensive out of the two). In the past few years, I had gotten some great deals on SP's on amazon.com until they split with TRU.

Kubricks / Re: 400% Kubricks

i can't wait to see some of your pics of the 400% vader. i actually gave it some thought preordering him a few months back but ultimately chose not to. i figured that the SW kubricks are pricy enough (especially with series 7 around the corner) and i didn't want to start up another expensive collection (because i'd have to hunt the other pricy SW 400% kubricks such as Boba and the Luke/Han Stormtroopers).

Thanks for the link to Oscar's Cases.  Speaking of cases, does anyone know how to get a hold of those small acrylic cases for loose Kubricks I've seen on eBay?

Also in addition to DSJ's reply, try checking out local shops that carry baseball cards. I've come across some acrylic cases (that look similar to the ones long gone on the website) that are normally used to house baseball/football/hockey cards and some work perfectly for housing treasured Kubricks...Other than that, the only real place is just to keep your eyes open on ebay, i usually see those cases up for sale every once in awhile.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: How many softballers do we have here?
« on: September 29, 2006, 06:16 PM »
I was offered a spot on a local softball team this summer and even practiced with the team on several occasions before the season started. After the second practice, I saw one of my good friends go down with an  injury and was out of work for a month.

I got scared after seeing the severity of the injury and realized that I couldn't jeopardize my job by getting hurt on the ballfield. I need these legs to drive from place to place securing contracts and my job pays very well for what I do. If I was knocked out of work for that long because I got hurt in a softball game, my company could let me go at anytime due to a clause in my contract.

Personally, there's nothing I miss more than the smell of my leather baseball glove, the sounds of baseballs/softballs hitting aluminum bats, and hearing family out in the seats cheering on...I miss playing the sport of baseball and it was something I excelled in at one point. But it was time to hang up my cleats for good this summer...

Unfortunately, McFarlane goes for players like those because they can sell them pretty well across the country....Keep in mind, most collectors only go out on the hunt looking for chase figures in a given set. The rest will collect dust until they hit clearance or a casual purchaser decides to buy that particular player.

saw them today @ newbury comics. wasn't very impressed with any of them. if jakks WWE Ruthless Aggression figures (the wrestlers that you see made by Jakks Pacific) are your thing and you would like an RA version of Rocky figures, then this should float your boat. otherwise, i'd stay far away...

there are reports that they are already out at some walmarts (next to the wrestling figs)...they look decent but i'm gonna pass on any more toys (it'll be hard to pass up a drago though from rocky IV)
