Nope, that's Jim (chuckles).  I'd be the aforementioned Canuckleheads.

Ah, okay - I thought Canuckleheads was some type of play on Chuckles - so I assumed that was him.

That freaking team is giving me fits with this neck-and-neck thing we've had going for 3rd place the last week or so.

Boy, sure am glad I took Randy Johnson ::)  He only cost me 11 points last night >:(

Is he about to pull his head out of his ass any time soon?

That's how I feel about Jim Thome....  40 home runs every year since God knows when, and this year he's hitting like .205 and just started his second stint on the DL.

Almost all of us have had 1 or 2 of our top 4 round picks go down or have crappy years.  Off the top of my head: Randy Johnson, Todd Helton, Scott Rolen, Adrian Beltre, Jason Schmidt (maybe wasn't top 4 rounds), Jim Thome, Barry Bonds, Carlos Beltran.

I want Famine's team investigated for steroids, +82 last night, and now over +60 tonight.  Team Elvis' lead is gonna shrink to about 120 points or less tonight over Famine.

Yeah... I've also had disappointments with Garciaparra, Tim Hudson, Mark Prior (although not as bad as it could have been), Barry Zito, Jon Lieber etc....    Of course, I got lucky on several big free agent moves to help balance all that out with guys like Brian Roberts, Dontrelle Willis, Livan Hernandez, and Chad Cordero.

Only problem is Beltre AND Johnson were mine.  I dropped Beltre and he finally starts producing.   ::)  I knew someone would pick him up eventually and Kevin did.

Oh yeah and taking this guy with my 6th pick in the draft was a wonderful idea too:

4 of my first 6 picks flopped.

I've been flipping through the draft again and there sure are a lot of unpleasant surprises to be had out there.

While I've not been in the top three much at all, I can't say I have too many overall disappointments in my fielding.  Beltre would be the big gaffe but I think I knew that risk was there.  Rollins at SS has been a decent surprise and my 1B, 2B are doing just fine thanks.  3B is ok thanks to Hildebrand, who's off to the allstar game.

My biggest area of disappointment has to be the pitchers and that's as much some disappointing players as my not understanding the fantasy game very well.  I just keep playing my pitchers without consideration to the opponent and lineup for the game.  I've probably lost around 200 points to pitching losses thus far.  Randy Johnson has frustrated the hell out of me (has he lost yet today?) but otherwise it's just been less than solid results.  My RP's are doing fine, I guess illustrating why the SP/RP guys are so valuable.

Your starting pitcher venture so far has netted +70 roughly  8)

Here's my draft:

Kneel Before Zod
1.  Alfonso Soriano, 2B - Solid
2.  Manny Ramirez, OF - Solid
3.  Ichiro Suzuki, OF - Decent but not earthshattering
4.  Jim Thome, 1B - FLOP
5.  Pedro Martinez, SP - Solid
6.  Eric Chavez, 3B - Flopped, cut, and now doing okay for Dressel...  :P
7.  Mark Prior, SP - Solid when healthy
8.  Nomar Garciaparra, SS - Injured all year - FLOP
9.  Tim Hudson, SP - FLOP
10.  Melvin Mora, 3B  - Solid
11.  Kieth Foulke, RP - FLOP, cut him after he blew his first two saves - he blew another one tonight
12.  Billy Wagner, RP - Solid
13.  Corey Patterson, OF - Decent, but I cut him a long time ago
14.  Barry Zito, SP - FLOP for me, I hear he's doing a bit better now though...
15.  Jon Lieber, SP - FLOP
16.  Ken Griffey Jr., OF - Didn't do anything for me, also now doing great for Dressel...  :P
17.  Ramón Hernández, C - Decent but nothing big, injured nowadays...
18.  Javier Vázquez, SP - FLOPPED for the short time that he was on my team.
19.  Jeff Bagwell, 1B - No clue...
20.  Brad Wilkerson, OF/1B - No clue again...
21.  José Guillén, OF - I'm loaded up with OF so he got cut too, now doing a nice job for Famine.

I'd say my draft went pretty well overall, obviously the odds of a player not amounting to anything go up the further into the draft you go and most of my complaints stem from guys I picked up in the second half of the draft - Nomar and Thome not withstanding.  If I hadn't gotten very lucky with a few free agents, again Roberts, Willis, Cordero etc..., I'd be in big big trouble by now.

I just got THE WORST offer so far this season from Dressel:

Todd Helton - 187 pts
John Patterson - 23 pts

for

Jeff Kent - 265 pts
Albert Pujols - 332 pts

Are you kidding me guy?  Hell, if u want to steal my stars just use your commish status to take them off my team and put them on yours.  I don't remember putting up a "Fire Sale" sign.
