That's the best decision then.  If you're not absolutely sure you want to open it, you're correct to not.  Or, you could do what I did with the carded Indiana Jones kub, and get two; one to open, the other to leave on the card.  It's the only card I really liked.  (Plus, I got lucky with a low winning bid on a Japanese auction to get the second one.)

Built a few wooden display frames for the collection over the holidays. Here's the basic wooden frame, which can be hung on the wall separately, or it can be stood on the separate floor stand / base. The frames are also stackable, so they can go about 3 high on top of the base, forming a bookcase of sorts. The frames have a white masonite backer board, which holds the cases in, the white color makes the figures a lot more visible, and it's also removable, so the 6x20 cases array can be removed, updated, and replaced inside the frame. With just one frame on the base as shown, it sort of looks like a mini-big screen tv :) , though that wasn't the intention.

Still need to sand these down, but I can't decide if I'm going to stain them or paint them black. So far I have 12 frames and 4 base units, comprising three full "bookcase" structures. Unfortunately, these won't even house the entire collection, so I'll be making a few more.

Do you have Kermit? Would you combine your Indy with Kermit to make an Adventure Kermit for me? I've been wanting to see that since Indy came out.

 :D

Nice idea, but it's not possible.  I just tried it with all 3 Indys, but that is the older body with the non-removable head.

Hong Kong has the DC twopacks also.

The Watchmen series is another example of this.  In Asia, they were individually boxed, while the US had the 3-packs.

I'm rebuilding my Kubrick display.... someone other than my friend "I am Sith" please give me a good reason I don't take my Blue Stars Trooper off his card and display him.  Same thing for farmboy Luke.  I'm feeling the pull to the dark side to free those two from their plastic prisons!

Sorry, can't help you.  What are these "carded star wars kubricks" you speak of?  ;D

That ship looks pretty small.  Still neat, though.

Where are all the AT-ST drivers on eBay???

Since he's a chase figure and not a regular one, there are many many unmanned AT-ST's out there.  So, I imagine people are keeping him to pilot the BAF AT-ST's.  Really a bad move on Medicom's part to make this BAF vehicle pilot rare.  (Not to mention the other chase is an army builder...)

Also, he's a pretty neat looking figure anyway, so maybe sellers are holding on to him for themselves.

Got my set of 8 today.  I really like this set, but I had a lot of trouble with the body parts:
-5 of them had too shallow of a right foot hole to completely cover the peg in the acrylic cases (Luke, Rebel, and Chewie were ok).  I had to use a 7/64" drill bit to deepen the hole so they would stand flat on the base.
-AT-ST driver, R-3PO, and Leia had floppy bodies / leg articulation.
-Chewie's right hand was frozen/glued in place and wouldn't turn.

I liked the trays the chase figures came in, to protect their antennas (helmet, backpack).

AT-ST is okay, but I really wish it was a Taun-taun.  :)

Yeah, I don't think the ebay prices are worth it either. I got mine directly from the Project 1/6 website (through a local personal contact).  C-3PO is definitely the better of the two.

The vac metal is really nice.  I've taken both of these guys out of the box but put them back in since I don't want anything to happen to that finish.  BTW, removable limbs C-3PO is just as shiny.   :)

(Copied, resized, and rehosted your pics, hope that was ok.  :) )

I like this entire series.  AT-ST driver is all kinds of cool.  I even like the blue coat Han; it's a legitimate vintage figure as well, so even though it's a repaint, it still works for me (like DX1's red Bib.)

Someone on KN wrote that they should have made a Build-a-bacta tank and a Wampa damaged Luke ("Diaper Luke", heh) chase to put in it, I think that would have been a great idea too.

...  I can't get terribly excited about TC-14...
Man, I sure can.  I've got her ordered, and I also have Threepio on the way.  Vacmetal really is the way to go for these metallic droids.  Hope to get a 400% R2 some day, in scale with these guys, and sporting a vac metal dome.

Well, he won't fit in those cases, of course, so he's hanging out by himself right now.  I was surprised that Amanaman wasn't too tall.
