I've considered may times droppinng my PT collection, but I'd never stop with the OT.

That's precisely what I did, and I've never been happier.  I don't have a single trace of anything PT or even Special Edition OT in my room.  I have almost everything made by Hasbro concerning the untouched OT, and almost all of the GG, Unleashed, mini-sabers, and a few other things.  The savings on spending alone have been great, but most of all I like not having to convince myself to like something I don't ;D

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: GH Swami Predicts EU, 2-Packs
« on: June 23, 2006, 12:47 PM »
To be the bitter old purist for a second: EU, as always, holds no interest for me.  It's no different in my mind as SW Transformers or anything else like GI JOE or Spawn that never appeared in the films.  For the fans, I hope they make them for you, but it'll be a skipped purchase for me. ;)

The hanging moss and muck is what sealed the deal for me.  Otherwise, I would have wanted this to be another rogue squadron version like the Red Leader we got.  But this looks so much better!

This might be a different sort of reason, but an ML line of Star Wars doesn't appeal to me because I don't think of these as "action figures" so much as "film representations".  That's not to say I don't like articulation (which helps get the figures into more film-like poses) but I just don't think I need to pose a Lando quite like I pose a Wolverine figure.  Furthermore, I really like sticking to the traditional line scale.

This was simply a Veers body painted black with a jumpsuit Imp head.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Daigo-Bah's Customs

Here is a Snowtrooper using the GG bust-up and the bottom half from a POTF2 Snowtrooper:

Nice idea!  I can at least contribute a couple figure customs, probably inhabitants.

Thanks guys!  Here are a few more:

To answer a few questions/comments:
1) The walls are styrofoam sheets coated in plaster of paris and sanded down lightly.
2) I agree the tables are a bit larger than they should be!  I couldn't find plumbing caps a little smaller.
3) The lighting in the tables and above the bar are X-mas lights.
4) I didn't include figures whose sculpts I can't like, including Evazan and Wolfman.  I am hoping to get another early bird Chewie to put in there, and the Praying Mantis.
5) There isn't an exterior unfortunately... seems like every dio I make is more of a miniature movie set as opposed to a playset, so there are a lot of exposed parts "off-camera"!

Has anyone IDed the debris that comes with Vader? One looks like the one from Obi Wan (Kamino Showdown)

Some one at RS has identified with pics that the one piece is from the Kamino set like you mentioned, while another piece is from the Hoth accessory set with the kitbashed Hoth rebel troop.

Found this wave today!  Very pleased, but forgot all about the Sandtrooper which seems to have been picked out of the wave.  Strangely, there weren't any Hans to be found.  I didn't get the Luke, although I think he looked great in the package.  It's just that I have a cloak on another Luke, and this one's headsculpt looks nice but not particularly like Hamill.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: 2006 vOTC (or vTSC) - now with pics!

Can't see those pics for some reason; I'd love to check it out!  On a side note, I passed by my local Target today, and the only remnants of the VTSC wave are about 7 or 8 Greedos.  I hope people aren't skipping this great figure.

I don't really like his space suit that much, but... that's just ol' psycho me.

Me too.  I really pictured this guy with farmer's robes or a cloak rather than a spacer's outfit, but theoretically he could have been wearing anything (including a human's body up to the wrist :P).
