I guess I'm such a hardcore purist that official names mean nothing to me unless they were named in the original films. Otherwise, doesn't bother me to see the names on the cards as long as there isn't much artistic license with the likenesses.

With a little time spent with Veers, I have to rescind some of my minor disappointment. He really is rather versatile after all, but I do think he looks best with armor on. I didn't realize however that his boots are articulated and can be swivelled outwards; makes his standing poses look better. I'd have liked a little more effort to coordinate Veers and Ozzel color, uniform detail, and size, but they do look good standing together despite the differences.

I'm excited about the Endor Han myself; I'll probably get 3 for diorama scenes: one for the rebel fleet meeting (to replace a Cantina Han I have there), one with cloak searching for Leia in the forest, and one without cloak to defend the bunker position. Oops, I need a fourth one for my Ewok village celebration dio! As for the Tuskens, I plan on 3 to replace my 2 repainted ones, and probably 2 scouts for the bunker scene.

Although I feel bad that it was for a copy of the *shudder* "SW Holiday Special"! Nothing like watching Itchy view bad virtual porn though, plus, how about that terrible performance by Jefferson Starship?

Found this wave yesterday, and wow... this is the wave I've been wanting for years! Derlin is my favorite, follwed by the AT-AT driver. Veers is close, but what bothers me about him is not the lack of back armor, and his face sculpt I think is fantastic (even if it doesn't look exactly like the actor, it's still well done), but rather he towers over Ozzel, his uniform is more grey than Ozzel, and has less uniform detail than Ozzel. Not to compare too much, it's just that I have them standing next to each other in a Star Destroyer bridge scene, and they don't mesh as well as I'd thought.

Wanted to show you guys a couple of ML figures I customized. I started these because I had a couple extras from the Sentinel wave that I bought just to get the piece of the larger robot. I couldn't sell the figures off for 3 or 4 bucks either. So, I made the Colossus out of a Mr. Sinister and the Union Jack out of the 1st Appearance Spidey, and let me just say that there is a healthy custom ML business on eBay! Hope you like 'em!

The new sculpts in this wave are certainly terrific; but I did find Boushh to be a bit too small. I thought it was the helmet size that bothered me, but it is actually the fact that she has no neck. I pulled her head off the peg, then re-attached it about halfway down, and it looks a lot better. I do think her legs could have been about a 1/4 inch longer though.
As far as Han is concerned, it is a bit of a boring figure, but he looks great on the skiff next to Jedi Luke and Skiff Lando (one of the best sculpts of all time- Skiff Lando- IMO). If only we'd gotten an all-new skiff guard instead of Barada, and the VOTC Chewie instead of mechanic Chewie, and I'd call this a perfect wave.

Long story short: hurricane katrina flooded my collection room a couple feet, floated this dio around the room, and I salvaged much of it and rebuilt it with some new pieces. Hope you like!
