I got my Portis-Lewis 2-pack earlier this week.  I still have to open it up though.

All in all, I think all of the 2-packs this year have been a lot more interesting than last year's.  Especially the NFL sets.  It's too bad they overproduced the Shaq/Yao Ming set though.  It's kept the Lebron/Carmello 2-pack from getting distributed.

I really wasn't too stoked for the NHL sets, except for Brodeur & Messier.  I mean, with the Shanahan/Blake set, just how many Avs and Red Wings players do we need in the NHL line?

I agree.  They've really stepped up the 2paks.

As for the Avs/Wings players, bottom line is they sell.  The teams are popular as hell and they've stated on the Sports Board that making players from teams like the Wings, Avs, Yankees, etc. allows them to make players like Vinatieri and Ogden.

NFL Legends is official!  It's in the News section:

Barry Sanders
John Elway
Troy Aikman
Johnny Unitas
Lawrence Taylor
Franco Harris

I'll skip LT and Harris but definitely grab the others.

NHL Legends and NFL 10 are shipping out this week to my buddy and the guy he works with at the local toy show.  That means I won't have to hit any stores!

LT is an incredible addition.  It's great to get him immortalized in plastic.

Stumbled into TRU this morning after going to the Doc's office.  What a treat.  About 30 Legends on the pegs and only one variant, white Gretzky ;D

(Proceeded to move over to the pegs of Star Wars and snagged the whole last wave of OTC on starburst cards too.  )

Very nice score Brent, I said that somewhere else didn't I!  ;D

TRU had legend figures but nothing left but 3 King's.

With the help of Brent & Jesse getting me the Gretzky figures, I would say my set is complete.  8)  Thanks a bunch guys!  :)

Yup, quite fortunate to find the regular purple pepper from this series.  I was allowed to crack a case.  No variants but it had purple Pepper.  This is very much Vikings country up here, so it was as nice as finding a chase piece.  Dave sent me the white version for cost too.   :)

You can double-check Spawn.com but July 2005 is sticking out in my head.

Picked up the reg Gretzkys, Moss 2 chase and Tomlinson 2 reg today at my local toy show.  My buddy bought 2 cases (chases: Raiders Sapp & white Moss in both cases) so he hooked me up w/ 1 of the Moss chases.  Then my other buddy (who always takes care of me) got me the LT2 and reg Gretzkys for $7 each and he's grabbing me a white Gretzky later!   ;D  Now all I need is that damn doublestar Roy Williams, since it's clearly the chase piece now (which sucks.)
