It struck me that the "Saga" line hasn't really been replaced, merely upgraded. The packaging might sport different graphics, but it's still a unified "Saga" line, if not in name (although it's never said "Saga" on the branding).

I'm thinking the Clone Wars forum should be merged into the existing Saga forum. After all, the POTF2 line had figures from the OT as well as "Expanded Universe." Why should Clone Wars get special treatment?

Clearly this is some sort of pre-production work for a digital stunt double, but isn't it exciting that Luke's mom dressed as a stormie long before he did? Gotta love that recurring theme thing George insists on. I'm so giddy with anticipation!

This is ridiculous. Textbook publishers "don't want controversy and they don't want people screaming," so they're dumbing down schoolbooks to "make the language as inoffensive as possible."

Oh my God, where have all the people with BALLS gone? Are there really that many litigious leftist liberals out there?

I can't walk my children through a mall without hearing teenagers and adults casually dropping the F-bomb in between every other word as if it's perfectly acceptable to curse like a sailor in any context. Social etiquette has gotten that bad. But when it comes to the written word, we cringe at the thought of labelling an old man "old" or a blind man "blind?" Give me a break.

When are we going to rebel against these uptight pansies? Is the casual use of vulgarity a direct response, a venting of what's left before they take that away, too? How are we supposed to communicate with each other at all once the politically correct are done censoring language, removing all the pointy nouns with sharp adjectives so no one ever ever ever gets their feelings hurt, deservedly or not?

 

The Clone Wars line is the perfect opportunity for Hasbro to offer a newly resculpted Trade Federation Droid Starfighter.

The first thing designers should do is take a look at Galoob's superior Action Fleet toy from their Episode I line and borrow a couple tricks. I want a transforming version that looks cool and has decent play value. Extra points if the thing can actually walk!

If anything it's a great excuse to resurrect the "dead" Deluxe line. Anyone else interested?

As much as I enjoy Star Trek in its many forms, I can't say I'd want to live in it. I'd feel like I was living in a futuristic hospital or something.

Now a Star Wars apartment, that'd be entirely different. Each room could have a different environmental feel. The kitchen would be like the Lars' homestead. The bathroom would be modelled after Vader's meditation chamber of course. The garage would look like the inside of a Jawa sandcrawler. Maybe the living room would be designed after the Naboo Palace.

And the home theatre... ooooohhh, the home theatre. The possibilities.

Anyway, place your bids here. At $2 million it's a steal. You may have to relocate, but if this place includes a working transporter, the move should be a snap!

Two great tastes that go great together!

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I collected both Hasbro's 3 3/4" line and Galoob's MicroMachines. Given the "soft market" for micro scale toys (although Playmates is launching Speedeez and Mattel has just introduced its own new line of micro Hot Wheels), I was thinking of a way I could get my figures and micros in the same package.

I miss Micro Machines, and I love that Hasbro has put a new emphasis on decent pack-ins with their figures. I was thinking Hasbro could start offering MicroMachine vehicles as pack-ins with 3 3/4" scale figures, sort of like the Darth Maul with Sith Infiltrator in the Episode I line.

I think this would be a natural for figures that are tough to accessorize. For instance, Lama Su was a cool character (the figure could have been taller), but how much cooler would it have been to include one of those flying whale beasties instead of any empty jar o' clone? Same with Zam Wesell, who easily should have included her micro Speeder.

The upcoming rumored ANH Luke and Vader repacks could come with a micro Landspeeder and TIE fighter respectively. Battledroids could come with micro scale versions of Hailfire Droids and Spider Droids while Clone Troopers could come with Republic Gunships and AT-TEs.

Anyone else wild about this idea?
