Title: Clone Wars Wave 16 (aka Fall 2010 Wave 2)
Post by: Jeff on March 18, 2010, 01:57 AM
In the Q&A session over at HH (http://hanshideout.blogspot.com/2010/03/hasbro-star-wars-q-session-24.html), Hasbro has confirmed that the new Mace Windu (http://www.jedidefender.com/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Conventions/Toy_Fair_2010/Hasbro_Star_Wars&image=145.JPG&img=32&tt=) and Camo ARF Trooper (http://www.jedidefender.com/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Conventions/Toy_Fair_2010/Hasbro_Star_Wars&image=150.JPG&img=32&tt=) will be part of 2010 Clone Wars Wave 3 (aka Wave 16).

I caught that too...very interesting. One would have to assume the Aurra Sing/Pre Viszla batch is Wave 1, so what happened to Wave 2? Why would they skip over that entirely to show a few random selections from a later wave? I'm not complaining or anything, it's always great to get sneak peeks, I just found that curious.

That camo clone just got released in the new GH wave, BTW...

Eh, it happens all the time.  Sometimes what was going to be Wave 2 becomes Wave 3 or whatever.  Lots of things can happen to cause some waves to get moved around.

In other news, thanks to the Yakface Q&A, it sounds like the Battle Droid Commander (http://www.jedidefender.com/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Conventions/Toy_Fair_2010/Hasbro_Star_Wars&image=038.JPG&img=128&tt=) and new Kit Fisto (http://www.jedidefender.com/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Conventions/Toy_Fair_2010/Hasbro_Star_Wars&image=048.JPG&img=128&tt=) will also be in this wave...

I finally realized that the helmet Mace includes is Jango Fett's - cool! ;D

I wouldn't be surprised if Baby Boba is somewhere in this wave.

I very much like the Battle Droid Commander, but it would be nice on Hasbro's part if they could finally SA those legs!!

This is a step in the right direction at least. Carry forward the coolest figures from the previous wave - brilliant! If they had only done this with the first 3 waves this year, I could have easily obtained the multiple Hondos, Aaylas, and Magnaguards I want.

I kind of shudder at the thought of ANOTHER Fisto jamming the pegs though. I hope this guy sells better than the previous incarnation.

He should sell well - he's SA, plus people who won't have gotten a Nahdarr figure will want to at least get his lightsaber to match the Grievous/Fisto duel.

Nifty looking wave, I'm looking forward to picking up the majority, particularly Aurra and Vizsla. It's nice to get a few characters that aren't Jedi, Clones or droids.

I wonder why Dooku would be in this wave AGAIN. >:( Why don't they just repack the figure from the Deluxe set, instead of this under-articulated figure?

Not sure what they're calling this wave anymore, 2 or 3, not sure which. (Some are dubbing the recent repack Wave as 1.5)

Anyway, GH is reporting that this Wave has already been spotted at Walmart!

My wallet is screaming for mercy at this point.  ;)

I like the looks of the Battle Droid commander but I always feel kinda ripped buying clone wars battle droids when they can release the movie versions in 2 packs in Saga Legends (which are now the more articulated model) Shame they can't do that here as well.

Will be looking forward to the SA knee Mace and Kit.

Has there been numerous reports of this wave hitting yet? I'm always wary to spend any time hunting when just one or two third person reports are posted.

I've only seen the one report via Galatic Hunter, don't think anyone from our forum has spotted them yet.

I have hit up 3 Walmarts in the past 24 hours and only 1 of them was even close to a reset, so they are really lagging.

If I find 'em, I'll post about it ASAP, believe me.  :)

So I went to every Walmart in a 40 mile radius this past weekend looking for these, and NO ONE had this wave out yet. Which confounds me because so many other people have posted about finding them on here.

Has anyone seen this wave anyplace OTHER than Walmart?

Has anyone spotted this wave on the East Coast yet?

For those who have seen it, did Wally stock them right out of the gate or did they wait for the TCW Wave 1 to sell through completely?

Not a single store around here has re-stocked since the 8/6 reset, so it could be a long wait, I fear.

Boom - found 'em. (Wally)

I think they did a good job re-doing Mace and Kit, especially the face sculpts. The Droid Commander does nothing for me really.

I do dig the Camo ARF though. I think it's especially cool that they are all "individualized" with different camo apps. Some weird glitches on his belt though, I had to bypass 1 or 2 that looked funky there. (Where it connects)

Found these at WM yesterday as well (where the pegs were packed to the gills with CW, Legends, and vintage - although less of the vintage).  I really like the Kit Fisto actually, and ended up grabbing Mace and the Camo ARF as well.

Saw this complete wave at a Target for the first time today. Previously I had only seen it before at Walmart, so for anyone still needing these, it's a good sign.

Only Wally got this wave here (and lots of it).  The Camo ARF trooper is still sitting in numbers.  The others are long gone.
