ToyNewsI (http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=169&itemid=12297) has pics up of the first series of Heroes figures from Mezco Toys. The lineup includes: Sylar, Peter, Hiro, Claire, and Mohinder Suresh. Pcs and info at the linky. They don't look too bad, but I kind of put them in the same boat as the LOST figures/statues. I like the show(s), but don't necessarily need the figures. I wonder how lines like these do overall though. I haven't looked in awhile, but the LOST ones seemed to be sitting at our TRU for awhile.
-
Meh. Love the show but like you said, Brian, I don't need figures from it.
Now, I might be talked into a really accurately sculpted mini-bust of Elle just to satisfy my Kristen Bell lust, uh, infatuation, no, I mean admiration! Yeah, that's it.

Tempting - I'm really into this show, but I don't like the statue style. If these were more like Marvel Legends articulation, I'd be all over them.

Worst action figure idea since LOST.

They're making action figures! :D
EDIT: Well, duh! This is the thread for them! This post was meant to go in the TV show thread. Sorry about that.

Yeah but they dont look really very good, I think Mohinder is probably the best of the bunch.
-
A writer for a Queens paper sent along a pretty cool article for us to post about the Heroes figures. We also got a pic from Mezco that, to the best of my knowledge, hadn't been revealed yet.

Sounds like Mohinder's gonna be tough to get. I'm probably gonna be pre-ordering a case anyway. Cool news about Future Hiro!

Worst action figure idea since LOST.
Are you implying that the Lost line was actually action figures? ;)

Here's hoping we get more pics and news from Toy Fair this weekend!

Ooh. Elle figure in wave 3 and it doesn't look completely terrible.

Aw, crap! They're cool! Mezco has sold me a new toy line.
Thanks for the pics, John! :)
HRG, Niki, and Linderman in particular look great!

It's June! These should be showing up any time now...

Saw them at TRU last week.

For all you Heroes fans out there...
Mezco was kind enough to send us details on a new coupon for $5 off the Heroes Series 1 figures at TRU:
* note: the coupon is for in store use only, not valid for internet orders.
-
That makes the figures more reasonable now.
-
Cool! I might finally pick a couple up now that this coupon is out. I've seen them around, and they're not fabulous but they're nice. Series 2 (coming in September I think) looks WAY better.
-
I bought my first Heroes figure today, H.R.G. Worth every penny, I am very, very pleased with it. It's an 'extraordinary' figure. :D
I can't wait to get the Haitian in Series 3 to display them together!
-
Bought my second Heroes figure today, Niki/Jessica. Terrific figure, I really like the inclusion of the mirror. :)
Still looking for Sylar.

In honor of the impending reboot, I decided to go ahead and jump in on this long defunct line. I was always on the fence, but it took me awhile (ok, 7 years) to commit.
I picked up 16 of them in 2 lots off eBay and have about 6 of the variants/exclusives left to pick up to round out the set. Not a huge financial commitment, thankfully.
-
I dabbled in this line, then quickly dropped off when I couldn't find most of them. I have a bloodied up Cheerleader if that's one of the variants you're seeking.
-
Thanks! Unfortunately that's not one of the ones I need but I appreciate the offer.
I don't think these are too bad, not the greatest quality but I enjoy smaller lines.
