So, I've never been much of a DC guy, but my son and I started watching The Flash over the holidays. We went a few episodes into season 2, then went back to watch the first season of Arrow as well. That's out of order for the cross-over events, but my son is 10 and the campy Flash cast and stories were a better introduction to this universe than the darker Arrow stores would have been. I have to say, I'm really impressed with what DC-TV brings to the table and we love both shows. The characters are interesting, the stories are fun, and there's just the right mix of individual plots that tie into a bigger picture reveal. They don't take themselves overly seriously either, with a comic relief character of sorts cleverly supporting each hero's show. They also bring in other B-Grade DC characters (Hawkgirl, Earth 2 Flash, Huntress) from time to time, which I love learning more about. These are at least on par with Marvel's Netflix shows and Agents of Shield, if not better given the more "all audiences" approach.
I really wish DS was mapping these characters and storylines to their movie universe/Justice League initiative.
