Well, it's been fun guys (and gals....well, mostly guys). It seems that the Clone Wars toy line is dead, and the cartoon along with it. My days of trolling the boards will most likely come to a close. My son will likely be too old to think toys are cool when Ep.7 comes out, and with only a handful of episodes left we will just have to find other ways to enjoy our time together before he becomes a young man that no longer needs his dad. This is a sad moment for me. The Clone Wars gave me a second chance to power-walk to the toy section and cross my fingers that a new and exciting Star Wars figure would be dangling from the pegs. But more importantly, it gave me an excuse to lock myself away on one side of the house with my boy and just have a great time creating battles and adventures. He still asks me to play "Clone Wars" every Saturday morning. Will that last another year, or two? Now that new episodes are gone, I don't know. But I am going to get the most out of it that I can.

It has been great interacting with so many Clone Wars fans, and I will miss the fun. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and stories over the years. New adventures of the Clone Wars will be seen on a live performance basis only for the immediate future at our household, and I guess that is all I could ever ask for.

Thank you Jedidefender. It has been great.

Until I see otherwise I think they are just taking what is already in the can, marketing it it 4-story arc releases, and making as much money of off twelve episodes they have already finished for season 6 and making the same profit they would have if they made more. I think it is PR BS that they are wrapping things up, and if I did not love the show so much, I would not support the sure to be direct to DVD releases. But seeing Trench alone was enough to geek me out a little.
In a dream world they would allow Filoni to write a Rex and Ashoka wrap up arc where Ashoka dies saving Rex, and Rex moves off to the outer-rim and marries a Twilek.

Don't think for a minute you are going to get those Clovis episodes on the season 5 DVD or Bluray. There is a big money sucking rat in charge, and nothing is free in Mickeyland.

Hey Hasbro, when will the new Ventress figure with mask be coming o....

Oh, right.

I was hoping for an end game for Ashoka here, but it looks like Anakin will save he at the last possible moment during her trial. As most people were suggesting Barris will turn out to be the bad guy, and Ventress will end up selling churros on level 1315.

Here is hoping for a season 6.

Did anyone notice that, in the Jedi War Room, when Obi-Wan was speaking through hologram to the assembled Jedi, he mentioned something about Saleucami? I didn't hear exactly what he said, but he mentioned exactly that name - and it's also mentioned in ROTS, when he tells Anakin that Master Vos is going to assemble his forces there. Maybe I'm doing a little too much thinking on this one, but what if this episode shows just how close the show is to ROTS now? Maybe the Republic is about to launch its forces there, and this is a sign that the show's timeline is coming closer to ROTS. I wonder if that means it'll be ending soon.

Has anyone read or watched anything that states the Filoni team confirming a season 6? All of the initial reports had the show going for at least "100" episodes. We hit that earlier this year. With the licensing deal being closed in the middle of this, I am starting to think more and more that the rug may ave been pulled out from under the show. Hasbro sure shite-canned the figure line seemingly overnight. It also could explain why there is now a missing arc in season 5. Every other season ended with a cliffhanger. It seems possible now that they took that out so as not to end  the series on a cliffhanger. That also makes me think Ahsoka's fate will not be determined in the current arc, but we will have to wait and see on that.

I have always felt that much like the animated series, the final episodes should center around the attack on Courosaunt and the abduction of Palpatine. It would be a shame if we never get to see Filoni's take on that.

I think someone has mentioned this in the thread before, but it makes the most sense for Palpatine to be behind this. It fits into the order 66 angle as well as the push Anakin to the dark side plot point. I would love to see them kill off Ahsoka in this arc if this truly ends up being the end of the series.

Another possibility is the renegade Jedi was wearing clone armor and was inside the prison at the time of the attack.

I still would put my money on Palps, it makes the best story.

Even using the last price point for the ship and one figure, when you add in a 20 dollar turret set and 3 more figures, they are going to ask for at LEAST 100 bucks for this. It does not mean any of us have to buy them though.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: The Future of the Clone Wars Toy Line?

Had "the talk" with my son today. (and did not even have to talk about birds OR bees :))  He was a little upset that the line was ending, but is majorly getting into OT Lego sets. By the time the new movies hit, he will be too old to want to collect action figures any more. Without his support it will be hard to continue to front the cash for collecting with the wife's approval.
So in short, Hasbro's lack of an exit strategy for the Clone wars has likely cost them 2 or 3 more years of sales from my son, that will almost certainly head to Lego.

Sorry Hasbro, you blew it.

As a Steelers fan I was hoping for a double plane crash on the way to New Orleans. Since that did not happen I will have to take the betting lines. I will take the 49ers -4 and bet the over @ 48. Even though there are two great defenses in this game I think points will be scored. Plus Jacoby Jones may put some points up in a hurry. Also on the coin toss I will take tales.

I have read a lot of speculation that the show was moving to a Disney owned property, but I have yet to see any primary sources that quote anyone from Disney stating that.

That being said I think there is the potential for Disney to re-work how these are released. They may go with a 4-month direct to DVD release of each Arc (mini-movie) and charge 18-20 dollars for each 4 episodes and then lock them in the vault (120 dollars per current season without the production rush). (makes the speculation that an arc made for this season is missing now seem to make more sense) They could then use the old episodes at will on their networks and promote the new releases there.

Using this model they could essentially use the items they have in the can to last until the new movies start coming out.

I am happy for any plan that keeps these coming to us, I just fear Disney's greedy fingers working their way into my wallet.

Almost makes you wish they would have fleshed this story out to last the entire season. I feel like I would pay to watch Star Wars the Mandolorian Wars.

Just got home from the Caps Lightning game. Although I am glad the Bolts routed the Caps, it was the sloppiest most out of sync NHL game I have ever seen. The 3 or 4 day training camp rust really showed. No matter the rust it was awesome to be in the barn tonight.
