Yeah that's ok George, you don't need to make Indy 5, that's quite alright.

Red Tails looks good though, my hopes are up for this one, can't be as bad as the prequels.  I love anything WWII.

I want to know who Curto has been blowing!  I can't believe Topps gave him another run at the sketch cards and of course his illustrations still suck as hard as ever.  I remember his defense was that he was rushed with a very short time line to produce them  ::) oh yeah...

Nice Bertha picks btw, what a termite!

Wow.  Enterbay does do a very nice job with these.  Very iconic choices so far considering how long it has been between releases.   ANH Luke, RotJ Han.  As long as they are only making "normal" humans I don't think I'll bite until they stop playing it safe and make something different- at their price point I don't that will ever happen.  I think this is going to be a very small line of figures.

Collect All 92! / Re: Collect All 92!

Very happy about the vintage collection, but 92 figures and not one Chewbacca? He did appear in 4 out of the 6 films.

Of course there as was a Chewie in the Vintage line.  Chewbacca was one of the original 4 that came in "empty box".

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: 1:6 4-Lom

Hopefully more shots of this will be released.  The C-3PO RAH is pretty cool, but the neck on this guy is not near accurate.

After 11 years I'm almost through The Mandalorian Armor Book One of the Bounty Hunter Wars.

It took many tries to get into it because it jumps around quite a bit.  A good author can do this, a hack writer getting paid by the page to complete a specified criteria not so much.

Published in 1998 it has not a tinge of prequel tainting it which is about the best thing about it.

While it has many fan favorite characters, Bossk, Boba Fett, Dengar, Zuckuss, IG-88, Darth Vader, the Emperor, the characterizations it creates for them are for the most part awful.

Major Characters:

Boba Fett - as one of the main characters fairs pretty well.  Very efficient, dangerous, cold, calculated, universally acknowledged as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy.  No mention of Jango, clones or any of the prequel crap, possibly why this series of books was never expanded on any further.

Bossk- young, hot headed, excessively violent, dimwit, impatient.

Zuckuss- Inexperienced, somewhat cowardly, a willing pawn.  No mention of his Gand Findsman meditation.  He just casually fell into being a bounty hunter in this book.  No mention at all of 4-LOM- they must be saving that for the next book.

Dengar- Semi successful bounty hunter,  smart enough to get by,  trained killer, scavenger and love lorn for his beloved Manaroo.

Minor Characters:

Darth Vader- Dangerous, Palpatine's servant

Emperor Palpatine- rules his empire with fear, allows free thinking agents to further his cause knowing that at any time he can use his immense power to destroy anything

IG-88- efficient, precise, cautious, agreeable

New characters invented and only appearing in this story (easy to see why these were abandoned)

Kuat of Kuat, the Shell Hutts, D'Harhan the Laser cannon headed cyborg,  Ku'dar Ma'bat a space spider, Craddosk-Bossk's dad

I'm in my late 30's and have "had cable tv" all my life.  I have a friend in his early twenties that says he doesn't have conventional cable tv service and no one of his generation does that anymore.  Of course he has cable internet but he doesn't have a regular phone either... what he does have are tons of downloaded media on a bunch of external hard drives that would have powered a mid sized company ten years ago.  Is this common where you live?

$300 bucks for an in scale based statue.  Zero articulation, aww c'mon Sideshow.  Looks nice, but pass.

The image revealed today is pretty slick...  Almost a still from the original trilogy it seems.  Really detailed...  Hasbro's isn't as nice, I just wonder who is going to shell out for this?  It's gotta cost an arm and a leg.

or the space that thing is going to be freakin humongous

cool.  it looks like it is going to be the original 1977 version of the giant lizard.  Quite a step up from the bizarre 1/6th version Hasbro made in the 1999 TPM version  ???
