Thanks...

Mine looks similar to yours except for the left side.. (barrel pointing left.)

On your pic there is a bump sticking out, on mine it is an indentation.

Also when I say the gun is see through, it is almost the whole thing...  The entire barrel is affected, as well as about half the body.

Repro????

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll add to this one.

Can anyone tell me if their blue Han Solo blaster is "see through"

I just got one with the Hoth Han I purchased, and when I hold it up to the light it is kinda see through around the edges.

Any thoughts??

Thanks,

Scott

Also a good tip!  As I read it, I thought of using those little see through bands that hold the weapons in the hands of modern figs..

Since I am an "opener" I usually just throw them away with all the rest of the packaging material... just have to remember to save a few next time I go on an "opening" binge... :)

Thanks Dale....

I'll give it a try, getting tired of picking it up off the floor!

Vintage Kenner / Hoth Leia.. which hand?
« on: June 19, 2003, 10:54 PM »
OK, so I just picked a Hoth Leia to add to my ever growing (not as fast as I would like ;) loose collection.

Which hand is she supposed to hold the gun in?

Neither one of the hands hold the gun well, it just kinda dangles there.

There is no damage on the fig either... anyone else have this prob?

Any tips?

Thanks,

Scott

I had to find one when I signed up becuuse the default avatar selection here... well... sucks.

I came accross this one, Tie Fighter Pilots are cool, and this one is kinda animated which is neat.

I would love to drive down the highway wearing one of those helmets.

No special story..

That's it.....

Definitely a good score!

I think on the speeder bike there are suppsed to be flaps on the back.

Not sure if they are there on yours, but over all it looks in good shape, as you often see those broken.

There is a whole series of those...

Check it out here:

You might be able to turn a tidy profit as the website owner seems to be interested in adding to his collection.

Just don't tell him you got it for $1 ;)

In Canada we have 2 taxes.  Federal 7% and a provincial, here in Ontario its 8% for a total of 15% tax!!

Than again we don't have to pay for healthcare so....

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Spelling
« on: June 9, 2003, 08:45 PM »
IMO people should at least make an effort at good spelling habits, even on message boards.

Spelling errors that happen once and a while don't bother me, but people who make NO ATTEMPT to make thier spelling legible bug the heck out of me.

Why should I care what you have to say if you can't take the time to check your spelling?

The other thing that bugs me too, is people who consistantly mis-spell the same word over and over.

There is a member of a GI Joe board I go to who frequently spells "like" as "leik"  It drives me nuts, and though it has been pointed out to him several times he just doesn't care.

/end rant

:)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: THANK YOU for using REAL NAMES!
« on: June 7, 2003, 09:42 PM »
This is one of the things I like so far here too.

One of the major thins that has been bugging me lately about Rebelscum is people's abiltity to change thier screen name s easily.

I mean, how can you trust someone who changes their online identity so easily, and refuses to use thier real name.

RS was my first internet SW home.  I do like the smaller feel here though, only been here a few days though :)

I didn't really have a problem with the rules change at RS, because mainly I don't do a lot of trading through there.

I like it here, because its small, like a discussion between a group of friends.
