A few weeks ago I got the TPM Retro set from an employee who got one from the back room too.  A week later they have 8 of them on the shelf in two different locations.  They don’t seem to be selling.

Some of those FB lego groups are a bit crazy.  I wouldn't really bother with them.  Just list it on marketplace and set it to worldwide so everyone can see it.  I've sold about 80 loose and open sets in the past 18 months.  I have been selling more than just lego, so it may go faster for you.  If all the sets are sealed, you really just need to take pictures of the front and back.  Taking the time to list everything will definitely get you a lot more money than going to a dealer.  You might find some people who will want to buy several sets and ask for a discount.

Personally, I would sell them yourself.  A dealer will give you at best 50% of what you could sell them for, but most likely 30% or less.  Write your first listing in Word.  Then you can just cut and paste.  Essentially you just need set number and title and that it is sealed.  I also list the number of pieces and which mini figures are included (many sets sell just because they contain a unique mini figure).

You are honestly sitting on a mini goldmine.  Like I stated earlier, I have sold about 20% of my lego collection and have made about 70% of the MSRP of everything and I still have a bunch of larger sets and rare items that I haven't had a chance to list yet.  You won't regret it if you just take the time.

I assumed Target "paused" all of Star Wars years ago.  The only thing Hasbro that I buy is the retro collection at this point so I'm not going to stores much.  Sometimes if I'm in Target I stop by the toy section just to check it out.  In the past year or so, my local Target has set up a Disney section and Star Wars has been moved there from the normal rows of toys.  Much smaller spot than in the past.  Generally it is completely barren.  Maybe a few 6" figures.  Generally no 3 3/4" whatsoever.  I was there a few weeks ago for the TPM retro set.  No tags on the shelf for it, but they had a few in the back.  It wouldn't shock me is Star Wars went away from Target.

Phew.  I hope it goes into the small Targets too.  Those are the ones I walk by at lunch regularly.

Depending on your perspective I guess its good news for the Star Wars line.  Maybe this will mean less 4" line and more TVC.

Crisis averted - Jayson found a new DPCI for TVC at Target.  Seems like it was just a temporary reset thing and TVC will be back at Target in some capacity eventually.

Hmmm... McFarlane Toys and Hasbro sign multi-brand licensing agreement.

Putting this in here because this seems to be happening more and more where Hasbro farms it's own IP out to other people for the figures/toys.

Hasbro continues the trend of licensing it's own IP to other toy makers - this time it's Power Rangers to Playmates:

https://newsroom.hasbro.com/news-releases/news-release-details/hasbro-and-playmates-toys-enter-strategic-relationship-produce

Reading between the lines, it looks like Playmates will be focused on lines/figures aimed at kids and Hasbro may continue to "activate the brand across their direct-to-consumer channel Hasbro Pulse and as part of its presence at major industry events like San Diego Comic Con".

So Playmates doing kid stuff and Hasbro doing Pulse and/or SDCC exclusives for the Lightning Collection (which is the Black Series-esque Power Rangers line).

Thanks Nick, appreciate that. Luckily there are no dependents to worry about, my surviving brother and I are just splitting everything 50/50. The only time consideration is how long do I feel like looking at all these boxes in my man cave? Would like to have it all wrapped up by the end of the summer if possible, I think.

We finally finished cleaning out all the non furniture stuff from his last storage bin yesterday, and wouldn’t you know it I found like 12 more mint in box retired SW sets. I catalogued everything last night and I believe the grand total was 104 unopened sets, something like 67 of which were retired SW sets.  :o

The fees I would end up paying on this stuff seemed pretty obscene, so I am rethinking the eBay thing now. I joined a SW Lego collector group on FB last night so hopefully that yields some results. At least there I am only paying for shipping and a 3% PayPal fee. (As opppsed to the 15% or so eBay steals) just wonder how they handle disputes if someone claims they never got something and demands their money back.

All these responses have been very helpful guys, thanks again.

I'll put these here for now - not sure yet if they fill the open two slots in the Acolyte wave (Mae, Sol, HK87 v2, Dark Trooper) or the Fan Channel wave with Kanan/Ezra.

According to Jayson's info, Imp Officer Cal/Mando Judge are in this wave with Kanan/Ezra so moving these posts over here...

Get a jump on tomorrow's pre-orders with the set of 4 or case of 8 at EE -

The announcement for today was Imperial Cal Kestis and the Mandalorian Judge going up for preorder tomorrow.

I'll put these here for now - not sure yet if they fill the open two slots in the Acolyte wave (Mae, Sol, HK87 v2, Dark Trooper) or the Fan Channel wave with Kanan/Ezra.

VC320 Cal Kestis (Imperial Officer Disguise)

VC321 Mandalorian Judge

Yay.  Two more perfectly fine but uninspired figures made out of old figures.

Pretty much.  I'll buy the Mando judge, but I'm really on the fence whether I need a variant Cal on my shelf.
