I've never heard of the 'Force Unleashed' line of figures before, has anyone else?

The assumption right now is that Force Unleashed is the working title of the big new SW Video Game that is coming this Fall... the game is the one that SW.com has been teasing with their Secrets of Star Wars 07 posts they had on the site in fall/winter 06.

The current rumor is that much like Shadows of the Empire, we're going to get a huge media push to support the Video Game.  We'll see things like a comic series from Dark Horse, a book or two, and then the line of figures based on the game that you see here.

- Tantive Rebel Trooper Close-Up?
- 2007 Wave 3 Vader: new or repack?
- Death Star Trooper: new or kit-bash?

Yes.  All can be found earlier in the thread...

If you buy this garbage, you'll buy anything with a Star Wars logo on the package, because these are low effort, nonsensical items with poorly selected sculpts.

I think you forgot to get "overpriced" in there too... you know, really hit home how these cost $13 for two repack/repaints while you can get two new sculpts for $10 in the Comic Pack line. 

Despite the helpful advice of everyone in the thread warning me that these are "low effort, nonsensical items with poorly selected sculpts" or "horrible jedi re-packs and blatant 'they'll buy them because they're clones' re-paints",  I'm still planning on buying one of each set.  You guys can buy what you like (or in this case, skip what you hate) and I'll buy what I like. 

I mean, the worst thing that happens if I buy these sets is that Hasbro and Target make money and that inspires them to continue making new exclusives which you can continue to hate and not buy.  The earth isn't going to stop revolving because I'm spending $83 to buy 6 two-packs of little plastic men.... is it? 

Yeah, last year in January we learned about both Series 6 and the 400% Wicket.

Since there was no announcement in January, it makes me think there won't be anything SW related at the 2007 February Wonderfest...
