I agree-looks pretty sharp. I'll be ready for my pre-order on the 6th :)

I will be on vacation that day, looks like a phone order for me. Any one else thinking it wont be a real 2-pack. I am thinking we will get one body with the two different heads, the cloak and the red robes.

That is what I am thinking. WOrks for me. Keeps the price down. Question is when might me actually get this one delivered.  :P

No, I think it will be 2pack for $150.  Just joking.

I don't know. It's billed as a figures set so I think we'lll get 2 separate figures.

Here is an adjusted image to reveal a better glimspe of Sidious

I never looked at it that way.  I assumed a two pack since it reads "figure set" and assume Sideshow would realize many people would like to display both figures at the same time.  I hope it's not just one....that would really suck.  I tore the inside of Asajj's head while trying to remove it (and I was going slow) so I am very leery about popping heads on any figures now.

Okay, these are looking real good. I'm betting we get 2 complete figures for around $120, but I'm hoping they'll give a break to us big Sideshow fans by bringing the overall price (tax, S&H) to under $100. I hope they're done with the 30th anniversary high end packaging art and return to the original by this release. Acceessories should be few so one figure could be packaged where the accessories normally are which should be great for displaying.

Will there be an exclusive version? What will the freebie be? Maces hand, Yodas lightsaber, Holo Cody...?

I'm betting a Holo Anakin/Vader but a Sith Holocron would be cool too.

I think this will be a true two-figure pack and not just swappable head/outfits.  They did not advertise Asajj Ventress as two figures.

I think it's probably the Holo Anakin/Vader reporting from Mustafar.

This is one set I might actually pick up. Lots of cool stuff. But what's the difference between the 'arrest' hilt/saber and the 'senate duel' saber?

Very cool.  I can't see a difference between the sabers from the pictures given though.

I assume just the colors of the hilts?  Anyway, I will order this set.  Mainly for the Sidious.

Is it just me or has the interest in the SS 12" line diminished somewhat?

Yeah, but it will turn back up once they start cranking out the armored figures IMO.

I would say the holocron.... glad that's not part of the exclusive.

I did get the 72 hour notice, but nothing after that. I wonder if they're doing them in waves.

Does each figure have it's own stand?
Title: Re: Sideshow 12" Palpatine figure set

Yes, each figure comes with its own stand.  I just took them out of the box and have a few pictures below.  Sideshow did one helluva job on these two scultps.  I had to wrestle with the hand off of the emperor to place his lightsaber one on, but I got it.  I like the fact that their box was hooked together.  No complaints on this end!!

I took them out of the boxes & something was wrong, Sidious is missing his lightsaber hilt & lightsaber hilt w/ ignited blade & also missing is the Holocron device.

I have to e-mail SS customer service & let them know to send them out to me.

I hope they do send the 3 accessories Beth, just a hassle sending it back. I sent SS an e-mail last night, hopefully I hear back from them earlier in the week & work this all out.

I just opened up my set and I'm missing the metal rod for the senate cam is missing. This is two orders in a row that I've gotten from Sideshow that have been screwed up. I was lucky enough to get the Stealth Iron Man Maquette, and when i opened it up to display it there were seven different very noticable scratches in the paint. They're supposed to be getting me a replacement, but it's going to take 60 days. All of the scratches could have been avoided too if they had just taken more care in placing it in the styrofoam.

Dale/Jamie, I had a similiar problem when I bought Maul last year. I got two of the same right hand and was missing one of the left hands. I called the customer service number, they were real helpfull and they just sent out the extra hand, so I didn't have to sned mine back at all. It was still a little annoying, but I understand mistakes happen sometimes and they dealt with as they should have, so overall I was still happy. I think they'll do the same for you guys.

You already have your THREE missing pieces, and it takes 30-60 days to get me a freaking tiny metal rod!?

Post by: jjks on April 7, 2008, 05:11 PM
Still waiting on my rod, but after some rather ugly emails back and forth regarding my Stealth Iron Man I had to return, I finally got shipping confirmation for my droid support. I cannot believe they are shipping something that fit inside a regular envelope via UPS instead of USPS. I hope my UPS driver can carry that package all the way to my door. I'll leave him a water bottle just in case.

I know you all love Sideshow's customer service, but at least with me they are 0 for 2. the debacle that has been created trying to replace a scratched statue has really turned me off of them. Their inability to answer the most simple of questions is really turning into an art form.
