I wonder how many people who whine and complain about this Sept. 12 release will actually go out and buy them. Then out of that many, how many will come out and admit it, thus revealing their own internal hypocricy...

I'm buying these sets, more as a collector's item than anything else. I don't view this set as the "truest" OT anyway. Too much stuff is out of continuity with the PT, which pre-dates the OT from a story standpoint. As much as whiny OT purists might not wish it so, that is an undeniable fact that must be accounted for by a responsible storyteller.

The hypocricy of fans just never ceases to amaze me. For years, they beg, create useless web petitions saying all they want is the true OT they saw in the theaters. Now they get it, and what happens...yep, more whining.

Seriously, whoever painted that Aurra Sing looks like they were on acid. That might be the worst figure I've ever seen.

But in an effort to not whine and complain like is so common these days, I will say Hasbro was right on the mark with issuing repaints of clones and astromech droids. They cannot go wrong with those.  Although if they were gonna make another Padme, why issue her for the third time in a white outfit when there are many non-white AOTC outfits they could pick?

Oops, I complained again!  :P

If Hasbro is going to reissue figures, to me, they cannot go wrong with any of the Evolutions Anakin figures. Those are outstanding, and I would certainly make room for them.

The repainted AT-RT driver is a nice surprise, and the blue AOTC Clonetrooper has a nice amount of weathering to it that can make it standout among its brothers.

The Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Jango figures are....meh....and how many times is the ROTS Mace sculpt gonna be reissued? He is slowly gaining on Cantina Han here.

After following Star Wars fandom on the net since late 1998, I am convinced I am the only one on the planet who loves all six films equally.

All of them have their flaws. But I will never view the Star Wars movies critically. They are my escape from the real world, they are my hobby and they keep the kid in me alive. Those are things I could never be critical of.
