Collections / Re: Anton's Armies Pt 1 - 5/25 update
« on: May 25, 2008, 03:02 PM »
Ah... very nice new shots, Anton! They make for a very tidy and disciplined overview of your troops. Nice to see the customs clones getting some minutes of fame as well.

This one's pretty cool  ;)

Would never have guessed that to be a Mace head. Excellent.

Photography question: What wattage bulbs are you using?

Thanks Darth_Anton. And er...... I just made these pics near my kitchen window, without any additional lights. It was around 3.30 pm and the skies were clear blue  ;D I used a lightblue A3 sized paper sheet as a backdrop. I took the pics two stept underexposed and corrected that in PS Elements.

Fine looking ladies there, Sith's Herald. Isard's my favourite of the three; you painted her outfit in a beautiful fiery red. Is that Mara's head you used for her?

Wow that is just bad ass at it's most badassyness  :-\
The parts choices are spot on, I see some of the old Clone Wars Mace and Anakin in there and one of the back packs from Mcguire figs.
This looks really good Incom and with a base to boot.  ;D

Heh, "bad ass" is just what I'm aiming for, Jedipurge  ;D Thanks so much for your comments, man, really appreciate it. I updated my site with this one, and shuffled some pages and pictures around. The full recipe can also be seen there.

Thanks, still learning how to best place the different areas of the site, but I'm getting there.

Anywho,  here's a custom I've been working on for the greater part of April and this month. It's a Krath Shocktrooper, featured in the TotJ comic series Dark Lords of the Sith. First things first: his teeth. I know, I just saw that when checking the pics I took. But trust me, from a couple of feet, you won't even notice it!  ;D

And shots of the base and his gear, which is held in place by two pins made of paperclip, that plug into tiny holes in his back

As always, thoughts, gripes, critiques, donations, etc. are most welcome!

Well, you actually lined 'em up! Mine still are and always have been in a box  :-\ I really should line up Keller and his 15 white Marines.....

350+, wow, I don't even have 300 loose figures in total, ha!

Modern Classifieds / WTB: TIE Fighter w/large panels
« on: April 9, 2008, 03:59 PM »
OK, I just received a POTF2 (or Saga or whatever) TIE Fighter and I knew the panels were undersized, but now that I have it for real, I must say, those things are really way too small.  :P

Anyway, I'd like to have a TIE Fighter with large panels. I know it was a Target/TRU Exclusive, and it's not that abundant on eBay, so I hope someone on the boards has one he/she wants to part with.  :)  Shipping (to the Netherlands) will most likely be pretty steep, but I can live with that.

Let me know, ok?

Thanks!

Great job on Kratos, Jeditaz. And thanks for inspiring me to make my own site dedicated to my customizing adventures  ;D I'm a complete Jar Jar when it comes to building web sites, but googlepages makes it so easy and it's fun to do, as well!

Too bad K'Kruhk didn't fetch at least the reserve price. People probably think everything's for free nowadays, eh?

Good luck with your other auctions!

Jeditaz made a very cool website using googlepages. This inspired me to do something similar, so feel free to check out Incom's Customs Conspiracy!

It's still in its early stages, but I'm gradually building up on the contents. My latest addition is a section called On the bench, which currently features my Krath Shocktrooper I'm working on.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Prayers and Thoughts Requested

I didn't know (of) him either, but my thoughts are with his family and friends. May they find strength in each other.

Thanks for the replies guys, I really appreciate them!

Brisk, go ahead and copy the pics, but I'd appreciate it if you put my name up  ;)

:-[ A belated thanks for the comments guys, they're much appreciated  :)

Thanks for the detailed comments on the Quarren, Ryan. That one was a real pleasure to work on.

Anyway, here's Sahhrad Simn, the son of a male Iktotchi merchant and a female Chiss science officer. Simn was viewed as a bastard son, an outcast and his parents, under pressure from their societies, had to give him up after only a few months. He was adopted by a Mandalorian and of course was raised as one himself.

Recipe:
CW Saesee Tinn: head, forearms
Jango Fett (Kamino Escape): torso, upper arms, pelvis, jetpack
Galactic Marine: legs

As always, feel free to critique!

Star Wars Dioramas and Displays / Re: Muftak's Custom Shelf Displays

I agree with everyone else: excellent work in combining detailed dio making with functional shelves. Looking forward to your future dioshelves!  8)

Here's a Heavy Support Trooper for the TFU Yakfinities. This guy's equipped with the T-21 rifle (later issued to the Sandtroopers, amongst others) and he has an integrated jetpack on his armour. This allows him to quickly jump to various hotspots on the battlefield. A special shout out to Straxus who made the helmet!!

Personally, I'm glad this one's finished, at least I'm done with it ;)  I used the regular AT-RT Driver's body, and painted that white. Never again! Next time, I'll just pick up the Utapau version or something  :P
