I saw a Mandalorian Ahsoka, Tech, and the Client at Wal*Mart today. Hadn't seen any non-Lando figures at a store in quite a while.

The problem is that at about $28 for a two pack, these bare bones Retro figures cost almost as much as a new TVC figure… only about $6 less than a Dark Trooper now…

But they're in a special two-pack Rob.

A special two-pack.

And not for nothing, its a PFP special two-pack.

$13 in discounts later and I suddenly feel a bit better about ordering 2 of the Darktroopers. Thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks for pointing that out...the price difference was enough to get me to finally bite on this one. Not at all essential in my eyes, but I can take some of those Ice Spiders.

Joe Defender / Re: Haslab Classified Series 6" Scale HISS Tank
« on: June 29, 2022, 04:38 PM »
They really did a phenomenal job on this one, I am not surprised at all that it looks like it will fund in 12 hours. They did everything right here, including gauging the fan base for what they would want vehicle-wise.the HISS is the perfect choice. I maybe own 10 GIJoe figures 3.75 scale, and also a HISS tank. Heck, I barely collect Star Wars vehicles but I had to have a HISS tank. They chose correctly.

LED lighting and functional treads jump out as huge details. I mean that lighting looks really good, the cockpit is amazing.

And all that said, I don't do 6 inch stuff so this isn't for me, but I am really impressed with the toy they put forward here.

Other Collectibles / Re: HasLab Reva FX Elite Lightsabers

I am no Inquisitor fan, and no Force FX Lightsaber person either. However, am I correct in noticing that the HasLab Saber has a full ring around the holt like most Inquisitor sabers do, even though every time I noticed Reva's Saber in the show it only had a half-circle guard? Is this thing screen accurate?

I will buy this set. I skipped the single Kenobi Kenobi because that midtorso joint was not to my liking, but here it looks hidden by the cloth piece. And Teeka is great, I love collecting Jawas.

The Purge Trooper will sell off easily enough, I already had a friend claim it if I don't want it. And I don't need that.

Imagine that--a TVC multipack with the main character in the box! Paging Kal Kestus and the Bad Batch!

I don't understand the desire to attempt a swindle. If they want a certain amount for it, just start the bidding there or put a reserve. Either the buyer is willing to go that high or they're not.

TV-9D9 / Re: Kenobi (Disney+) - (SPOILERS possible)

I think Obi-Wan is on a similar journey in this series, but he will end up finding some sort of inner peace and resolve in order to make a better future by training Luke and Leia.

I think everything will get tied up in a bow when he gets his "training" from Qui-Gon (which they made sure to put in the prequel supercut before the first part) and he switches from using the Force like the Republic Jedi did, to following the Will of the Living Force as Qui-Gon did. If that happens in the next couple episodes, he could be super-charged for his next battle with Vader, and leave his apprentice feeling like he needs to "learn" something new.

Or if they don't, it goes to explaining why once we catch back up with Ben 10 years later, he is as chill as he is--living with 2 lightsabers right under the roof of his publicly-known home, and ready to charter a ship and get back into the fight at the drop of a hat. It will be quite the change in attitude once he starts using the Living Force as his guide.

I have a ton to say about Vader and his actions from part 3 as well, but I want to see what he does next to clarify if he was supposed to have been stymied when Ben got away or if that was all intentional.

For some of the production clunky I am really enjoying the character beats in this so far!

A bit off topic, but I wonder why they haven't touched ROTJ yet.  I can't remember if there was a ROTJ board game like the other two that we got, but I keep wondering what they would do for wave in general and for the "never produced figure" like the Tarkin and Luke pack-ins we got.

The general theory is they have been holding off on an ROTJ wave until the 40th anniversary in 2023.

I have liked the new media waves as well, though I question slightly why we are getting a Kenobi show Ben before the 1978 Ben is rereleased. I am down for stuff from any shows they want to do, as well as Prequels, Sequels, Rogue One, and Solo.

And I would also like it if alongside the waves we are getting they were doing smart repacks alongside, like Biker Scouts, Jawas, and Jedi Luke to coincide with the Mandalorian stuff. But that's me thinking this is supposed to be an actual toy line to play with I guess.

I'd prefer a $1X version with less accessories but with the accessories the price is fair. So much hyperbole

Not so much hyperbole as my jumping off point. I bought the E-Web Stormtrooper Deluxe set because that gun is substantial, but I have passed on all the other boxed Deluxe sets. I bought the Mando &grogu Deluxe set because, at $18, it still felt like a fair deal. But not the Maldo Kreis set last year because the price jumped 8 bucks.

I like this design for the Darktrooper, and I appreciate it is 100% new tooling with added accessories. That is what got me to the order page in the first place.

I also appreciate the huge gulf between the niche toylines and their prices and what Hasbro does, and how that gap is narrowing.

I "finished" my collection in 2008, the last 14 years have been gravy to me. To pick and choose as I please. For $60 I want a little meat with my gravy.

I ordered two of these off of Amazon. The $60 price tag is making me sick to my stomach. The expected shipping date of March 3rd 2023 is easing that a bit, because that is plenty of time to cancel.

$60 for two 3 3/4" figures. I don't know folks, I may truly be done for good.

I think the charging ports, as plain as they are, have convinced me to buy 2. Without those included I wasn't biting, so that's a win for them!

I wish they had included a flight stand so that there was a reason to plug the flame effects into the foot pegs as intended.

I am hoping another Vader means some sort of Removable Helmet, lightsaber in hand update to the Retro sculpt.
