Luke Skywalker: Red Five X-Wing Pilot Sixth Scale Figure (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/whats-new/luke-skywalker-red-five-x-wing-pilot-sixth-scale-figure)

Looks really good. I am all about the Hot Toys figures though.

Luke is available now.... for $240 :o

Exactly...what the heck is up with that price? I had to make sure there was an X-wing ladder included. I have almost every SS 12" figure, but after the summer they released three clone repaints all at once, I quit buying prequel figures. I think I will have to pass on this one at this price. It has just gotten out of control.

Sideshow's 12" figure pricing has gone up exponentially. I remember when they first introduced the line. You could get figures for somewhere in the neighborhood of $45. But now this Luke is $240?!!? I got priced out of the market a while ago.

I hate to pile on but yeah, that price for Luke put him out of reach to me. I was actually aiming to pick him up maybe, but that's really absurd. 1/6 is just too much at this point. The weird thing is it doesn't seem to be for everything, but licensed stuff's definitely skyrocketing. I can't believe Luke's more than a Stormtrooper though. Is the suit that complex?
-
There does seem to be a lot of little pieces on the flight suit, but to put this in perspective, the Yoda Hut was $275. That included a ton of little accessories and has lights. I just don't see how this figure is worth $35 less than that.

The Sideshow Deluxe Vader was $249.99, and that was a huge figure with a ton of accessories and electronics to boot. The price for Luke is re-goddamn-diculous.

That price is crazy. Especially for a barebones release.
