Went by a store today called Vintage Stock in St. Louis (Chesterfield Mall) as I heard a tip that they had some of the new movie figures.

What I saw:

Basic Figures ($9.99)
- Snake Eyes  x 1
- Storm Shadow x 1

Deluxe Motorcycles ($14.99)
- Snake Eyes x 6
- Firefly x 6

Battle Packs ($19.99)
- Cobra Ninja, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow x 2
- Kamukara, Roadblock, Beachhead x 2

Vehicles ($24.99)
- AWE Striker (Snake Eyes) x 2

I picked up the Cobra Ninja set for my son, that's what he wanted.  I'll upload a couple pics when I get a chance. But overall, I thought these looked really cool.  And if standard retail can keep the prices on the basic figures down, this line could be a real hit.  The deluxes were lame though in my opinion and are destined for clearance.

Nice find.  Almost makes me willing to go visit the inlaws who live around 5 mins from there.

Almost.

I just assume you guys are here to pimp your latest books...  :-X

Oooh...that hurt.  You know, I would love not to have to push my books, but the publishing industry has decided that since social media is free, the authors should do as much as they can.  In truth, I find it slightly embarrassing, but if I want to keep making more I have to do it.

And like I said, if I could actually find product, I would talk about that, instead of my work...

BTW, "Fangbone! The Birthday Party of Dread" comes out on Aug 2, 2012

As long as my kids keep loving your books, you can pimp away Mike.  The little guy turns 4 on Saturday, soi think you've got plenty of time!

We gave "Good Night Goon" at all the fall b-day parties last year.

Bought the DSC and Luke on eBay. Had some PayPal $ from a sale of some some non Toy related goodies.

So I passed on cases...cuz 7 PT pieces of landfill fodder were not worth it.

Fun thought for the day...

I guess I got/get paid more than Curto since I got two Lego figures yesterday courtesy of my boss.  How about that?  :D

Rumor has it I'm being fired though being, and quoting from my performance review, "A bit of a dickhole".  It was initialed JMAC&OCB.  >:(

And you got Pizza and a personal visit, don't undersell the personal time.

Yesterdays Tornado outbreak was freakish.

As of now there are no fatalities reported. This is incredible when you consider the damage and the Truckstop that was hit and the semi trailers that were literally dropped on houses.

More rain on tap for this am.

freakin Stars.  Oh well. The Stanley Cup is still fun to watch without my favorite team.

I haven't seen much of the eastern Conference, so I don't know who will be cursed with my support.

I know my wife will be wearing her Blues jersey every night they are on so I am probably stuck supporting them.

I don't think the Stars had much of a chance anyway.  All their goals seem so accidental, not just pure scoring chances. The goalie is pretty solid but he has very little in front of him.

A concerted effort in this hobby is no small feat.  We have it on our graphics "to do" list, but bear in mind we just changed a 9 year old Banner ad for Brian's Toys.

And we haven't talked about bounty-gate either.

I'm not worried about the Cowboys showing up in the news for that one, they haven't hit anybody in years.

I'd like to see Peyton Manning play again but I just don't see it happening.

Good grief... is that a new R2 in there?

Anyone only want the ship and feel like selling me one?

Yup.

Also, I got an email from site Sponsor Entertainment Earth that my case is in the warehouse and ready to ship.

I'm not making Toy Fair this year, P-Siddy is gonna do some coverage for us if he gets back in town.

1pm is all of Hasbro.  In years past they would do a whole PowerPoint of all the "Geek site" favorite items  like Marvel, TF, GI Joe, Star Wars.  I assume that is the process again this year.

A few years back they even had some "secret" stuff that we weren't allowed to photograph.

What I am looking forward to is seeing the Death Star Trooper carded and maybe more photos of Hoth Luke.

On the Non Star Wars front, I want to see some GI Joe Retaliation stuff.
