Country Music is so damn depressing.  I'm amazed there isn't a high suicide rate among its listeners.  There's always lyrics about losing your wife, your car...  Death...  Violence...

Gimme Faith Hill singing about something sunny while wearing something skimpy.  That's Country Music goodness.

There are a lot of sad songs, but they are songs about real life, about things that everyone of us have experienced.  That's what makes them so great.

As long as it gets back to Dressel by the time he signs on we're ok.

I've seen Billy Crystal rock out both Mets and Yankees hates.  You just can't do that.
He wore a Mets hat in "City Slickers"...a movie, nothing more.  However, he does own a stake in the Arizona Diamondbacks despite being a lifelong Yankee fan.

Yeah, I remember the hat in City Slickers, but I thought I saw him rocking one out somewhere.  Hopefully I'm wrong, but then again, why wear a Mets hat in the movie if you're a Yankee fan?  Billy has clout.  He didn't "have" to wear the Mets hat.

It would be like me wearing an Avs jersey while being an enormous Red Wings fan.  It just ain't gonna happen and it isn't allowed.

I know for a fact he picked him because we were talking on IM when he made the pick.  He told me that's who he was grabbing.

No...  Van Halen tune actually...  Dunno the song you mentioned actually.  I'm not much of a music person.

I played Tuba for like 2 years when I was in Jr. High.   ::)

It's actually a country song and it starts off about a boy and his dog and how he's young, the dog is old but they are both the same age.  Then the dog dies of course and the song talks about how he realized for the first time what real pain was and how he was never the same again.  The whole song is about life experiences.  Real tear jerker.  If you've ever had a dog and lost him/her, this song will definitely pull at the heart strings.  Gets me everytime.

Fair enough.  We'll agree to disagree.

As for Lisa, she was very nice to me when I was introduced to her my first day and the lady knows her sports for damn sure.  A lot of people on the show who had worked w/ her far longer than I had did not like her at all.  She was a professional no doubt, but did carry herself like she knew she was the sh-t.

Every team has games like this.  It's part of sports and trust me, I've been on both sides of it enough times to know.

Well.....he is now!  I honestly can't believe I got this guy this late.  I mean, he was the 7th pick overall in this year's NFL draft.

I have him in at least 2 of my other leagues so I decided to take Michael Clayton instead in this league.  You're welcome.   ;)

No, he was still available when I made my pick.  I just looked over the entire draft AND ran a search.  Maybe you're thinking of either Boo Williams or Moe Williams?

No, I was thinking Roy but for some reason I thought he was gone.  Not sure why.  I have my own draft board on Microsoft Word and I'm deleting guys whenever they get picked so there's no confusion for me, but for whatever reason I thought Roy was gone.

There's a song I hear and immediately I think of my dog...  I ain't gonna admit to crying to you punks but it "upsets" me...  Yeah, "upsets" will work as a description.

Jeff Carson's "Real Life?"
