Amazon has lowered the price of Indy to $11.99 now, too. And has him back up for orders to ship next weekend. None of the other Retros are listed yet, though.

JD-referral Amazon links:

Thanks for the links, I grabbed the last couple I needed! I couldn't find them thus morning for whatever reason!

I liked this week's episode insofar as it was a fun dumb show not trying too hard to be something thoughtful.

Ragnar...do we think he is Paz's biological offspring, or a foundling son like Grogu is to Din? Is there a Mrs. Visla?

I laughed SO HARD when the jetpack ran out of fuel in pursuit of the flying creature and one of the Mandos said this happened last time, too. You guys are idiots! You create a new strategy if this option has failed before, especially if you are protecting your kids!!

But yeah, this covert is full of a bunch of morons and I almost have too much respect for Favreau to think it is an accident. The subtext is really leaning towards " if you fail to grasp society your best option is to join a cult and follow it without question." Is this show becoming Scientology propaganda?

Finally, the Grogu flashback. I loved seeing Kelleran Beq again, but I wasn't impressed much with the sequence. When Ahsoka told us Grogu escaped the Temple during the Purge, this is what you could imagine yourself. Nothing unexpected happened. It was lazy.

And my son and I agreed while watching it: those baby birds are going to be mounts.

I saw one each of Indy, Marion, and Belloq on two separate trips to Target this week. Also a couple of the Worlds of Adventure kids line sets. They seem to be stocked next to the Marvel Legends, but no shelf tags as of yet. (Belloq was hanging out on a shelf at the end of a preschool aisle.)

I bought the Retro figures, I couldn't resist. They were all $14.99 at the register.

I never had Belloq when I was a kid, I don't think I understood him as a villain back then. Toht and Cairo Swordsman I could grasp.

Man, I have got to get off my butt and start picking up some of your stuff Muftak - that Nevarro Cantina one is great.

Thanks. I don't promote stuff here because I feel like that is overstepping the boundaries of having the conversations I have cherished here for 20 years.

Plus, like I said, it's  become impossible for me to link Facebook-hosted pics here, or Rebelscum-hosted pics, so I have nothing to show.

But by all means feel free to follow all of my shameless self promotion over on Instagram  (as thecardboardgalaxy) or Facebook ( @Cardboard Galaxy there.)

Awesome Muftak! I just ordered one as well!

I don't suppose you'll ever have a view outside the window of the Nevarro Cantina, with Gideon and a bunch of Stormtroopers standing around threatening?

Thanks!

I did a whole cardstock exterior for the Nevarro Cantina set last year, and indeed on the inside I put an image of the street with Death Troopers. If it is not showing up on eBay right now it’s out of stock but will get restocked this weekend.

I would post pics but I haven't been able to link anything here in about a year...

Thanks! I was working on that insert last month, luckily Nicklab hooked me up with a collector who already had one in hand. I sent him the prototype and was able to do revisions before mine arrived. It enabled me to get it up for sale as soon as these started showing up.

That being said, I don't know if I am keeping mine for the long run, just to take pictures of this and 2 other interior sets I am doing. For sure I am going to sell off that exclusive figure to a carded collector. I always feel guilty opening these pack ins

It's a strange marketing approach, he could have been hinting and teasing for the last month that this was coming. Instead, he was raving about quitting after the Dagobah Luke figure. A strange guy who gets the asthetic for the old Kenner figures.

I do like the looks of this Fleet Trooper better than the Procustoms one. But the Procustoms guy is already in my collection now so there is very little urgency for me to preorder this from the UK. If it presells out (which they claim it may due to army builders) I won't be upset, but if it shows up with my US hook-up I will likely get one.

It's weird. All last week people including me were finding single Luke's at their Targets, a couple found Emperors as well. This is the second full case of Han I have heard about showing up.

I don't think assortment cases are out yet. Even the set I ordered came in a Han case that had been opened and resealed.

I was dumbfounded with the Pershing side story. Can someone explain how he is in the amnesty program, assigned a number in lieu of his Imperial identity, specifically not allowed to follow up on his cloning research, yet when we first see him in the episode he is hosting a lavish and well-attended TED talk on Coruscant as Dr. Pershing, describing his imperial cloning research in detail? None of this made any sense to me and kept me from getting too involved I his story.

It was just written bad. I prefer when this show sticks with its pulpy action-adventure stories. I though Mando's character development at the end of last season was terrific, but it seems to all have been undone between seasons. Is the show really doubling down on cult=good after Din seemed to have his horizons broadened, and now they are saying joining a cult can be of benefit for Bo-Katan as well?

I did truly enjoy Pershing shout "it was a trap!" at the Mon Cal doctor who looked offended at the meme stereotype. Even my 13 year old was laughing at that one.

I can confirm that, when I worked with Chris Krahn after he took over SLC, he wanted me to develop a playset that could be sold alongside the upcoming R2-Q5 figure. I sold the item from December 2019 - March 2020 on the Fans Strike Back portal, and he offered a deal to bundle the droid with the playset for customers.

Suffice it to say, the deal wound up not being worthwhile for me. I was doing it to gain exposure through his website, obviously, but his business practices left a lot to be desired as a partner and it increasingly became more work for me than I signed up for. When the pandemic started I had to shut down business for a time, and I used that opportunity to end our partnership.

I can not confirm in what capacity the R2-Q5 was produced prior to Chris Krahn's involvement, only that he told me he was launching the figure in November/December 2019, which I took to mean it hadn't been offered before.

Yeah, I gave it a day and decided to buy those two multipacks after all. I am pretty happy with the purchase.

I now have a Shoretrooper pack and a Retro 6-Pack sitting in my cart, and I am deciding whether I need to go through with it or if I am just being impulsive (no pun intended.)

It works out to $8 or so per figure, so that's not a bad deal...but do I need them?

I guess $200 doesn't sound so bad in light of that one having been gone for a good long time. 2 Astros left doesn't sound insurmountable, either. Good luck!

I finally bit the bullet too and got the Stan Solo Ball Speeder when it came back in stock last week. I do love it, fits right in with the Kenner Mini-Rigs.

All I am saying about this is for over a hundred dollars this thing better come with a flight stand. This needs to have an out of the box display solution, because last I checked N-1s don't have landing gear. If the Speeder Bike is made to hover, this thing better be made to as well.

I hope they are that Haslab Skystruker stand, that is really nice.

I am still very much on the fence about getting this. I am not a vehicle collector in general, but if this can be displayed nicely it will make my purchase more likely.
