Late to the party again. I guess it's my lack of interest in the prequel figures.

Although I actually just had a friend in Japan and told him to look for series 8 for me, even though I wasn't originally interested. Thought if he could get it for a great price that I'd pick it up.

Heh. After the announcements that 8 and 9 are prequels, I started looking for other things to collect.

Now I am after the carded Kubricks, and also I have been amassing some random Japanese toys, like some Kid Robot stuff, and a couple Bearbricks. No sense or order to any of it. I'd like to find a couple small lines that really interest me though, and go for those.

I just hope its one of the easier carded figures to get, around the 80-100.00 dollar mark and not the 300.00 ones.

Me too!

That's cool man. You gotta do what you gotta do. It's good to be able to set your limits too.

I forgot about obi-wan. I think thats makes sense for the Qui-Gon or even Anakin box as the easy chase. I do think Jar Jar will be the rare chase. I am still sticking by an OT character being the other 1:96.

I would be so happy with an OT chase.

Well, I had something really strange happen to me tonight...

I was re-arranging my display shelves and while I was moving some stuff around, I noticed that my Droids R2-D2 bubble had completely detached from the card.  Since it was in an Oscar case, it wasn't noticable until I grabbed the case to move it and the bubble tipped right over in the case.

I tried in vain to re-attach it, but failed miserably.  As a precaution, I went back through the other 9 carded figures I have and they all seem to have nice firmly attached bubbles.  I have no idea what could have caused R2's bubble to pop off - just a weak glue job I guess.   :-\

The thing that was so strange about it was that I had been going back and forth about dropping the cash for another one to open to go with my Droids 3PO, so in a way, I guess fate made the decision for me.   :P

Whoa! Sorry man, but at least it happened to the figure you wanted loose anyway.

I have to check mine now...

Very nice!

Really nice Matt! Moving up to the big leagues are we? Does this mean you have a bounty hunter set on the way?

Thanks guys, and sorry for the crappy pic...my camera just absolutely sucks.

Yeah, I guess I am going to get the rest of them slowly but surely. Don't have the Bounty Hunter set on the way yet, but I've been scoping for it. The Jorg Sacul seems a little silly to me though for the price they go for.

I started collecting carded Kubricks a few months ago. I was going to open them, because I wanted the Droids Fett and a couple others just loose. But then with the disappointing announcement (for me) of series 8 and 9, I figured I'd shift my efforts towards the carded stuff in general.

So here are my latest acquisitions, thanks to Simon, plasticlab from KN and a few others:
