Watto's Junk Yard / Re: iPod-racing
« on: June 22, 2007, 09:10 PM »
My other diliemna is trying find a way to hear my iPod in my car.  I got a free (after mainl-in rebate) Belkin FM transmitter, but it stinks.  I've read that the FM transmitters are weaker now than a couple of years ago b/c of some new FCC regulations.  I want to install a simple plug-in jack into my car, but the dealership has quoted me $250-300.

if you have an aftermarket stereo in your car you might read thru your manual and see if there is any option for a line in.  my alpine had an option where i can use the cd changer output for an aux.  i think the cord cost  $18.

The Suns couldn't even make it past the Mavs last year, despite Dallas not even being as good defensively as the Spurs.

its a good thing defense isn't the only facet of the game or the mavs wouldn't have been able to beat the spurs.

KG to the Celtics, KG to Indy, KG for Kobe, KG for Amare...  ::)

don't forget about KG for everybody on the mavs except Dirk.  sports radio here has been dying trying to come up with anything to talk about since the mavs and stars had such short post seasons.   its really funny to hear the hosts actually talk about the twolves trading KG for Jet Terry and some scrubs.

oops, i can't believe i never noticed this thread before.

anyhow, if anyone else has a similar problem to mine, your graphics driver needs to be updated.   if you search corels "knowledge base" it has detailed instructions on how to fix it.

i recently bought corel's paintshop pro photo XI. when i try to load it up it always stops at "registering modules". i don't see any way to get around the registering part, and i don't see anything that should be blocking the registering process.

i did a google search and i didn't find anyone with a similar problem.

what am i doing wrong?

i think a big part of the problem with this years finals is that we have all know who the new champs would be for like a month.   and then they win in the least inspiring method possible.

i agree... for the longest time i only really wanted the car manufacturers to make cars that got better mileage so that the oil resourses would last essentially forever (to me).  now that the oil producers are clearly trying to see exactly how high they can jack the price before we cry uncle i would love to see the entire transportation industry switch to some other fuel source.

i think if you bought that figure the gun would turn out to be correct.  i would trust brian's toys maybe more than afa to either have the right gun or get it for you.

i was out last night, but when the radio gave a game update they noted that the game was like 25-22 with a couple minutes left in the 2nd.  i was thinking "oh my god... its gonna be even worse than i thought."

Well done, LBJ.  Well done.
Do I think that Cleveland will beat San Antonio?  No.  Not really.  But when you have a player of LeBron's talent on your team, you just never know.

Key to the series will be how they call Bowen's d on LeBron.  If they let them play Spurs will sweep, if not Cavs get 2 games.   :P

i agree if the spurs get by with bowen 1 on 1 with james, the spurs sweep.  the rest of the players on the cavs will not do as well if james doesn't draw lots of double and triple teams.  but, if james can make duncan come over to help, varajao, gooden and ilgauskas can be very effective.

i am much more excited about the playoffs suddenly.  i hope this is a very good series.  and, i never would have thought i would be saying it, but i am rooting for a team from the east.

It's been extremely wet this spring here in North Texas.  I hope the whole summer isn't like that or it will make playing softball miserable.  We got rained out/postponed in 4 of 8 games.  That sucked.

a few years ago that happened to the team i was on.  the denton league will cancel games for the slightest drizzle (which i guess is good cuz a slippery field can be a bitch), so we had to play 3 games in 1 night 2 weeks in a row.

Kobe wants out.  This should be interesting to see how things develop here, he sounds pretty set on things.

it will definitely be interesting to see who all tries to land the most hated man in basketball.  i hope it is not the mavs.

bron bron sells alot of jerseys all over the country.  i don't think you can really say that about anyone else left in the playoffs.   i don't think anyone (outside of the contending cities) is really watching anymore anyhow, but it would be even worse without lebron.

Too bad you have zero feedback!

pretty crazy to end a high end auction like that during CIV.  also, someone from RS got a ESB 21 bk c3po for $22 cuz auctionstealer was down.
