I have always been a fan.....of the dot, dot, dot (instead of commas).

For those who don't know, Sonderkommando's were the Jews in concentration camps that the Nazi's and SS impressed to work the crematoriums.  I hate to take this whole thing off-topic, but the word is frankly kind of offensive.

Wow....I suppose you DO learn something new everyday.

Here are a few of mine:

Sleeping in on Weekend mornings.  I've been really busy, so I haven't had a chance to do this lately, but I really enjoy a nice leisurely morning on my days off. Waking up around 10 or so....then going out to breakfast.

Playing video games with my nephews and neice.  They live in CA, so I don't get to do this much. They're getting to the age where they're actually really good....and that's a lot of fun. Especially when they make it challenging. No more throwing games on purpose.  :)

Fast food errors in my favor.  Similar to the bag fries, I like when they give you something extra altogether, and you are allowed to keep it.   :)

When the dog listens to me, especially if he's ignoring everyone else.  :)

Finding new figures. (Had to put SOMETHING Star Wars related on here).

Winning a game of racquetball against someone better.

A New Weird Al CD. (Poodle Hat!!)

Unexpected checks in the mail. (Just got one yesterday for 11.00 from my bank for some reason).

Light Traffic during the commute.

My song on the radio

And finally.....
Anything cherry flavored! Woo!

The end.

It's a good time for a new place and a fresh start, to just focus on Star Wars and leave all the crap behind at RS.

That's what I've decided as well. I'll still pop into Rebelscum when I feel mischevious. Today's mishchief was starting a thread all about Otter Pops.

Those were my big two pet peeves I was always campaigning to get closed. I can't really think of any other ones that would be annoying enough to mention.

Well...maybe the "hottest sports babes" thread.   ;)

On the internet, where you communicate in a text based world, spelling is key.

If you have a lot of spelling and gramatical errors, it's easy to assume that you might not be that bright (even if that's not really the case). I'm always going back and editing my posts for spelling errors I miss in the preview window.

In real life (especially in the business world) your charm and grace can get you almost anywhere...but here, it's all about your words. They're the only thing you put out there for people to judge you with.

If you don't take the time to realize you spelled misinterpreteded incorrectly, you may be just that.

 ;)

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Hasbro Points
« on: June 9, 2003, 05:32 PM »
I agree.

The only other toy line I collect (The Simpsons line by Playmates) has mail away offers all the time.

I've been a loyal collector of Star Wars items from both Hasbro and Kenner since the mid 90's, saving my points...hoping for that offer to FINALLY show up on the back of the package, or at the website so that I could use them.

Instead, every year....I'm left with the same announcement.  "Hold on to those points, we have something special planned".  They said this on the official site a month or two ago.  A Hasbro representative said the same thing last year at Celebration 2. I'm told the same statement was made at Celebration 1, though I wasn't there to witness that one.

Why is Hasbro ignoring those collectors that open their figures and save those points?

How about you guys bite the bullet and put a few offers out there. Sure, there are those of us that have more than enough points for anything you'd offer up.....(and rightfully so) but think of all the new business you could drum up from new collectors, or those folks that DON'T save their packaging.

I really hope to see an announcement soon....this time, with a date and specific offer details attached.

Definitely let me know if you see these. I'm interested. I'm getting into the 501st stuff, and these are the only acceptable sidearms (Short of making your own).

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Vote for SW toys today

I voted for the Imperial Shuttle, because I don't think there's another ship in the SW line that comes close to this beauty.

I don't think it had enough screen time to warrant a toy (plus, it didn't "fight").

If one came out however, I would probably be compulsed to buy it.

As most of you know (and the rest of you should be able to guess) I'm Josh.

Without all the EEEs of course.

I just sent this link to my girlfriend. She's extremely excited about this development, so thanks to Darth Broem for posting this news. I got the good brownie points for forwarding it and making her day.

P.S.  Josheeeeeeeeeeeee, please point me to some good things to do on the internet while sitting at work with little else to do.  I'm running out of stuff to do!

Lately, my website of choice, is shockwave.com....where I like to play 80's arcade classics. Particularly, Joust.

My high score is 212000, and I challenge anyone here to top that.  ;D

I vaguely remember watching the first one as a child, but more recently...it's been on cable a lot. My girlfriend has been watching it, and I've dropped in a few times to see scenes. What I've seen has been really lame.

I'd probably watch this if it was a cool movie of the week, but not because I was a fan of the original or anything.
