This could wind up being a very entertaining thread, especially when someone opens up a vintage figure. :P
This would be a great place to showcase the opening of my complete set of 77' 12 backs.

For that I'd fly to Dallas and beat you senseless. :'(

Ooooh. I love this idea, Hemish! I can't wait until Dale sees what you've done. :D
Nice work, Hemish! I recall a similar thread to this in the Vintage section at RS a few years back, and the fella really riled some guys up with that! A real hard to find POTF figure, IIRC. Good stuff! This would be a great place to showcase the opening of my complete set of 77' 12 backs.
I think Rob's just yankin' our chain here, since there were no 12-backs in 1977. ;)

When did the 12 backs start and what did the backs look like in 77'?
But the EB kits didn't have cards.
Funny thread! My only carded figs are an AT-TE Gunner and a C3 Vader. I'll have to take pics of the Gunner being opened. :)
Is it wrong that this thread is turning me on?
:-*
By the way, who's the funny lookin' dude with the devil eyes up there in Dale's post? Scary...

That picture now holds the title as the best picture so far. 8)
Seeing as this is supposed to be a "theater," this film is amazingly apropriate:

Figure club is a very cool fan film
Oh and i thought you guys mught like this pic.
The guy had already opened everything up but he gave us the end image ;D

Ok, Sith Lord Chaos is no longer allowed in my house! ;D
(Don't worry, Dale. This isn't the Clone that you shipped to me so carefully - I couldn't be that cruel. ;D)
I would go with the Sneek Peak Wookiee Warrior, my heart can't handle the AT-TE Gunner. :P

Well, then I've got a surprise for you. ;D
I've been seeing the openers and thoroughly enjoy this thread so far.
No here's a question for you guys. Should I open my Unleashed Yoda? There are 2 reasons I would: all my other Unleashed are and I don't think I'll ever sell it. The draw back is: I think if I got it graded it would get a 95.
What would you guys do?
Why grade it? AFA sucks! :-X

Wonder who is gonna be the first to kill a vintage cardback???
Toy Fair Vader. :-*
Damn, I want to join in the fun... but I don't really need any of my figures opened right now. Someone make a request and I'll see if I can fill it.

"Ahhh, much better. I can feel the fresh air on my face again... oh wait, no I can't."

And I was told that if I do happen to find those EU figures Jesse2, I'm not allowed to open them. Someone here needs them for his collection ::)

Who's the dirty bugger? >:(
Man, I'd kill a puppy
How about any of the POTF2 EU figures? Like a Darktrooper? :)

Jeez, If I had one, I'd open it in a second. That's the only figure I'm missing at all from that EU run >:(
If it makes anyone feel better, I just opened a #55 Anakin Pilot figure.
I'm now going to have to get an extra Anakin/Vader Evolutions set so he can have a soft-goods robe and be movie accurate while sitting in the Jedi Fighter. :)
I could show Padme Ascension, Sio Bibble (x2)...

I had to look twice to notice it was a VOTC Stormtrooper.

There you have it gang, I did it! (http://www.snowtroopers.ca/forum/YaBBImages/undecided.gif) Now piss off! :P
First time ever? Wow, not an loose figure virgin anymore, eh? Good job... How'd it feel? Were you drunk at the time?
Oh Jesse, I saved ya on shipping. I opened them all! :P
Well I certainly don't have the balls to open my Toy Fair Vader, I'll say that much. If I had a second I would

That's a pretty classic image there.Actually, I've been pretty good about him putting away toys, and they are with his other SW figures and toys. They are not broken - yet. I can't say that Clone Troopers, Han and Padme haven't lost limbs (or heads) in the past, but these are so far, so good. I do have Luke's gun in my purse, and I should probably remove the lightsaber as well. What I've done in the past is take the identification card and the small pieces that go with the figure then baggie them in a "zipper snack bag". That way when he's older, and more "responsible" he can have the accessories. There are a few lost guns, rifles and lightsabers, though.
Now I think you should go take a picture of where the figures are now. One in the bath tub, the other one lying somewhere next to the Pokemon guys.....missing accessories, bent into impossible poses. ;D
Well maybe we both have issues ;D ;DMe three! ;D ;D ;D
Maybe a mini torch like you'd use in the kitchen... or one of those long handled lighters...

Nice, Ben! No way in hell I'm ever buying or trading for one of your figures! :P
I'm still waiting for Jared to put up all the pix we took for this at our JD SoCal meeting a week and a half ago...
(http://cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/muede/o030.gif) That pic is going to give me nightmares, I'm sure of it. :-\

Ouch. At least those were really yellowed bubbles.
Wow, Hemish - if you're not into Star Wars collecting for the right reasons, then nobody is!
:P
but even that makes me feel a bit like watching a guy get kicked in the crotch.
Awsome thead by the way!

Is that Graemlin bowing, or mooning?
Looks like buttcrack to me.
I don't keep up with my vintage prices.
Are those the most expensive figures that have been opened exclusively for this thread?
I've got to say that I'm a bit disturbed by the number of vintage figures being opened up here... Yellow Bubble or not, there are plenty of nice minty loose figures on Ebay.
