This game looks awesome We get to make our own jedi :D

I saw that site about a week ago, and I'm absolutely excited about this game. I cannot wait to get this installed on my computer, but I think it's coming out near the end of the year.
-
Yeah it's coming this fall :)
-
Any one have the release date?
-
Right now there's no accurate street date... I forget, but didn't this game go gold? Or was it another that recently went gold? So many I'm getting them confused at this point.
Shaping up to be grea,t and I know a pretty full beta has been leaked and people are already working with it to make edited levels and such. Must be really REALLY easy to edit, unlike JO.
-
I just checked ign.com and it is set to be released on 9-17-03
and i can hardly wait! I think you may be thinking of KOTOR on xbox soon to be on pc.
-
Well, if they're saying 9/17 and th ey keep to that then it's JA I'm thinking of because going gold means it has gone to press for the CD's and packing and would be shipping out. It was maybe a month ago I recall hearing that JA went gold so a September release is reasonable.

I played the demo and I will be the first one in line to get it. You can choose light saber type, dual sabers or double like Maul's. There is alot of awesome Lightsaber moves and of course force powers. Just a few more days......

Has anyone purchased this game yet? It's out in stores now, and if you buy this on the Lucas Arts (http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/jediacademy/) website you get this free gift...

I bought it last Thursday and beat it for the first time yesterday. It's way better than I could have hoped. The dual sabers kick butt. :P
-
Damn, that didn't last long for you. Was it tough at all, or just a piece of cake? How long did it take to beat it?
-
Some of the later missions were sort of tough, but when you max out your Force Heal powers, it's much, much easier. :)
The whole thing probably took me, and I'm estimating, about 10 to 12 hours.
Now, on to the multiplayer for me... ;D

Just got it tonight... Sad to say they didn't improve ranged combat much, my #1 gripe about JO.
The initial missions seem fun though, graphics are FAR superior (noticeably so... ironic it's on the same engine, just really tweaked), and the ability to (sorta) create your own character is fun.
Leaves for some creativity room, and it's a customizer's wet dream I think (Like Galaxies is).
Choosing your missions and your initial gear pack is kinda fun too. Lends for some creative reasoning before the game's even begun.
From what I hear, it's a much MUCH more editable game than Outcast is. I'm not much good at editing myself, but I know people have stopped JO projects to port them (Easily I hear) to JA's far superior engine.
So, being that I've only finished one (droid hunt/Tatooine level) I can't confirm if it's a good or bad game, but I enjoyed my running around. I just wish I had more energy to stick at it for a long time, haha.
