I just don't see it.  She has dumpy ears and her teeth are lagomorphic.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: When Do You Let Your Kids watch SW?
« on: May 18, 2004, 12:51 PM »
I'd say 4 is a safe age, but it all depends on the child.  When my daughter watched the OT for the first time (at 4 yrs. old), the only creatures that scared her were the Wampa, Rancor, & Gammorean Guards.  There were a few scenes that troubled her, particularly when Vader choked Antilles, the death and gutting of the Tauntaun, Han getting tortured and frozen, & Luke losing his hand.  Parents really have to play it by ear.

If I could design the next line of figures after OTC, I would chose characters that have never been made before & then after I found them at retail, I would brag about it by starting multiple threads at various SW forums to let everyone know of my 'accomplishment'.

(Reposted so it doesn't get lost with the last page)

Looks like Kill Bill Vol. 2 will be getting an August 10th release. . .

DVD Answers

(No word on any of the other dozen or so releases Tarantino/Miramax has planned, though. . .)   :-\

Heh.  Nonetheless, it's good news!

I suppose that I should admit that I have this big hang-up with watching people eat, so maybe watching this guy chow down on horse-meat and corn-flake by-products for an hour-and-a-half may not exactly be my cup of tea. . .
Horse-meat patties with corn flake by-products taste good with special sauce!

That closely resembles my Johnny Cash, John Denver, John Ritter, Fred "ReRun" Berry and Dave Coulier impersonation.  Is this taken before or after he died???

On a somewhat related note, Glen Cambell pleaded guilty to DUI and departing from the scene of an accident on Monday.  Some of you might recall that Glen sang one of the greatest 'hits' in music, "Rhinestone Cowboy."  Carry on.

My first job was dressing up as "Cookie Bear" for a cookie shop on weekends when I was a teen.   :)

Let's see, way back, I saw Steve Young play when he was with BYU.  I've also seen Tim Duncan do his magic on the court.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: what music do you like?
« on: May 12, 2004, 06:38 PM »
The focus of my music collection is mostly electronica, trance, techno, ambient, and trip hop.  I also like retro, oldies, jazz, and classical music quite a bit.  I listen to all kinds of music, for the exception of country, americana, and tejano.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Gas Prices
« on: May 12, 2004, 12:46 PM »
Thank goodness I don't drive a gas-guzzler.  Gas prices are outrageous.  Let me ask you guys, how much does it cost to fill up?  For me, it's about $20.   :(

« on: May 8, 2004, 07:24 PM »
I think you need to ask yourself why you were you under the impression HOF R2 was going to be Commtech R2.  I mean, it's been known for some time that POTJ R2 was the choice for the HOF wave.

I respect the decision here at JD 100%, and I appreciate the posts from the staff here (particularly JJ's & OCB's)  explaining the reasoning behind the decision.  I'm not angry with the decision, just a bit disappointed.  I mean, it's a shame that we can discuss silly & relatively meaningless things such as wearing/not wearing underwear, cat enemas, birthdays, the Wampa's left horn, etc., but we can't discuss the important real-life events taking place such as a war that has cost 738 lives (and that's not a political statement, that is reality).  Don't get me wrong.  I know that political discussion can become very heated very quickly, so I understand.  Precautions need to be taken.  It's just a shame that we can't discuss what's really going on (political or otherwise) in this world.  Oh well, time to start a "Favorite Jelly flavor" thread.  :)

It's unfortunate that a formal policy had to be adopted to discourage any conversation regarding real-life events including life, death, war, politics, & religion.  I guess the people here aren't mature enough to handle a discussion in those areas.  Sad, really.  Oh well, this policy is a small, petty victory for the faint of heart & the meek.  Yay.

Damn. You're cool. It's a ****ing Star Wars board, ass. If you want to talk religion and politics, go elsewhere.

So you're saying that the nature of all discussion here should be Star Wars related?  Why does Watto's Junkyard exist?  If you want to talk about movies, music, & more, go elsewhere.
