If it's an hour long, why don't they call it "An Hour" instead of "60 Minutes"?
Take away the commercials it's around 50 mins.
OK. Now you're getting complicated. If the show is only 50 minutes long, do you think they meant to call it "50 Minutes" and accidentally hit the "6" instead of the "5" on their keyboard when they were making the first show? Maybe by the time they caught the mistake they were already published in TV Guide or something and it was too late to change it, so they just went with "60 Minutes".
