Saga '02-'04 / Re: Hoth Han and Chewie 2003!

That is a good point Nicklab...the Bowcaster that came with the Mynock Hunt Chewie is my favorite.  He was also my favorite Chewie until the Cloud City one came out.  This new one looks alright...I like that they are finally making him to scale but I just think he has been overdone a little much.

I'd rather they start focusing on Leia, Luke and 3PO than Han, Chewie, Vader and R2

My uncle had this really cool lime green Mustang (it was a early 70's model) and I always liked the look of that car.  The small back seat, the big wheels the loud engine.  It kind of inspired me to get my car now a '96 Mustang.  The sad thing is that I couldn't afford the insurance and car payment for a GT so I went with the V6...I still love my car but someday I want to buy an older Mustang and then I'll be riding in style  8)

If you are so hard up for the Berry goodness of the Frankenberry cereal a Canadian Dagobah Vader will be ample reward for getting you the goods...you might even have to throw in Matt's wife (who seems to be easy to get in trade) as part of the deal

I just thought of something else Brent...at the Mall of America there is a pretty large General Mills something or other called Cereal Adventures, I am almost positive they have Frankenberry year round there at a Cereal Bar

http://www.cerealadventure.com/CerealStore.asp

This place says soon you will be able to buy the cereal from the store on-line

One package of Frankenberry = Canadian Vader

I don't know what the rules of shipping food across the border is though, perhaps I could use it as packaging peanuts

Frankenberry  has become seasonal and is made by the fine Minnesota folks at General Mills.  Usually only available along with Boo Berry at Halloween I believe only at Target

OoT only came with the preorder deal, I have seriously thought about picking up a Gamecube and Zelda, Metroid and Mario Sunshine because I miss my Nintendo friends.  i just don't have the time to devote anymore and I am happy with what I get on my PS2...

I also have heard nothing but glowing reviews of the new game...some say it is the best Viedo Game ever (which I think is Ocarina)

There is a new Frosted Flakes hybrid called something like Tony's Cinnamon Crunch...like most Cinnamon Cereals it suffers IMO from that nasty powdering film that forms in your mouth while eating it.  The crunch and the taste though are superb

This sparked my interest in this thread BTW...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: How long have you collected SW?
« on: April 2, 2003, 02:48 PM »
1978 or 1979 I believe even before I saw SW on the Big Screen...which I don't think I was able to do until the SE's

Anyway some of my friends had SW swag and I'd play along as any 3 or 4 year old would.  On the way home from the doctor after getting a shot my mom brought me to Target and I got to pick any figure or toy I wanted.  I chose a Han Solo, I can't figure out when that was though.  It had to have been '79.  ESB came out soon after and I was really gung ho into it by then plus we had moved and most of my new buddies were also heavily into Star Wars.  My love dried up around 1983 though because I only have 2 ROTJ figures from my youth, 2 Jedi Lukes.  I had moved on to He-Man and GI Joe for the most part.  Which is strange that I moved from a more sophistacted thing to a more kiddy friendly world which was cartoon dominated.  I do remember part of the switch had to do with size (He-Man) and articulation (Hasbro) for the money it was hard to pass up

Come 1995 and my girlfriends brother at the time who was big time into Vintage showed me this magazine called the Insider which had pictures of New Figures.  Since my girlfriend worked at Target I swung by the toy section and rest is history!
